- Yea baby!! We've been waiting for this! This week we finally installed our front floor and bolted in the Captains chair that we bought second hand. This seat is super comfortable and we love it!

Hi there, we are Chris and Stephanie from the beautiful southeast TN area! Thank you so much for joining us on our journey. Oddly enough, we happened upon “skoolie life” after searching around for information on “van life” because Stephanie thought her dad was crazy for wanting to sell his house and build out a van to live in. Now, in an effort to get closer to family, get debt free, establish a much better future for ourselves - we’ve joined the crazy club too LOL!!!

Chris, funny enough the cab and captains chairs are my next move. Bought a 5x10 roll of textured black G-floor vinyl garage flooring to lay down.
We actually were gonna do the stall mat but Steph Trumped that haha. I am still figuring out the second chair, if we decide to go that route.
@@CSSkoolieProject I'm building a sliding platform system for the copilot chair. It will go over the stairwell while driving and slide to the center when parked. I'm still not sure if it's going to be on airline track or an industrial aluminum or steel slide. It will be able to lock in position which on our bus leaving the inward folding door will be added security. Planning a Lagun mount for a table between the chairs to make that our 2 person inferior breakfast nook or place to play cards or whatever.
I was thinking a jump seat on a really heavy duty custom lagoon mount for the chair. It will fold under the desk and swivel out when in use
@@CSSkoolieProject that's a good idea. Would it be comfy enough to have the copilot want to sit there while the other is driving?
@@allmomomosthomebus3895 Probably for a short time it would be. We don't plan on driving more than a few hours at a time. We also have a 8 foot couch that will have seatbelts so Steph could float back and forth really.

@@LetstalkaboutitwiththeLees Yea I was quite lucky with FB marketplace. I started just grabbing stuff a few years ago if I found something cheap. In some cases, much better then buying new IMO
