I just purchased the bag and i dont have that problem on the holes on the strap. I will be using this bag as shoulder or crossbody. I probably leave the chain strap mostly as decorative. I love the purse and i am very happy.

When I first started watching your channel, I got the Marc Jacobs J Link bag with that strap hole issue plus the strap didn’t want to flatten. You helped with suggestions. It was $297 and cute though a bit sorry that I kept it. Definitely not acceptable with a Gucci.

Oh, I just got the medium Aphrodite. It also has that glazing in the holes, which I don't really understand the point of. But I don't mind it and guess if it wears off, it just does. :) It won't be very visible if it does, being inside the hole. Sorry it didn't work out for you, though.
it should be totally fine for that bag because you don't need to take the strap on and off all the time, do you?

Do you have a link or a coupon code for the insert company you use? I usually use zoomoni but you speak so highly of the company you use.
It is greentaginserts, and my code is HBHW12...they are amazing for soft somewhat unstructured inserts! I love them for bags where I need a soft liner, with pockets, but not a ton of structure. For my Gucci Marmont bags, I use something different - please let me know what bag you are looking for an insert for and I'll let you know what I think is best!
