I've always HATED how channels such as these, who clearly have enough money to provide proper care for their animals should they want to, choose not to do their research and provide proper care. A channel named 'The Izzys' is pretty similar to Payton Delu's, however, they realised that their hamster care was inappropriate and fixed it. If they can do it, what's stopping all these other channels from doing the same?

I watched this family channel's video a few months ago and thought that Lennon the Bunny should watch it and tell others what she thinks. So glad she made a video of this CZcams channel's video, I've been waiting for someone to make a video about this. I hate seeing family channels get a pet and do little to no research about rabbits.

My senior bunny passed away last night and honestly have felt broken, he was a rescue and I’d had him for years. Honestly he was so intelligent and so affectionate, stereotypes that I wish people would see so they wouldn’t just be stuffed in cages. The poor thing spent a year of his life in a hamster cage and then grew on to be the best bunny footballer. :(
UPDATE: I’ve just seen the responses almost a year later! Sadly his bunmate passed a few months back too, so now have no bunny love in my life and there’s not a day where I don’t miss them both. I imagine them both running through fields in heaven/heav-bun? One day again :)

after my bunny passed, I could not stop crying, my mom said to me just imagine that your bunny wanted more friends like Lennon , bini so he has been to their home, he is still alive and playing with other bunnies out there
Something tells me that someone in that family knows something as to how that poor rabbit broke her leg. I find it highly unlikely that the bunny broke its leg just running around... if I had to guess one of the kids was probably holding bunny and bunny wanted down, which lead to bunny jumping out of their arms, thus breaking her leg. I probably sound awful for blaming one of those kids without proper "evidence", but to me its common sense. I hope this family sees Lorlei's video on them and takes it as constructive criticism. They have tons of room for improvement on properly caring for those darling rabbits. I really hope they didn't get a male and a female, because they probably won't separate them before they realize that the female has had a surprise litter of babies. 🤦♀️

The rabbit care featured in this families’ videos is appalling, especially the lack of hay. I do have to say that my rabbit did break his toe before and I didn’t notice it until I saw him limping under my bed. He was hiding it well and I wasn’t sure how he broke it either. I suspect maybe from his nail getting caught on something.
Yea also my bunnies run insanely and jump of off things, one of them once pulled a muscle or something as well. No clue how but she was fine after a few days. Bunnies just have delicate bones and sometimes they act insane🤷🏼♀️ although with the lack of enrichment that seems unlikely..
I don't think my country has hay so we pick different types of grass that they eat around the town and house and pellets
@@philiphowell2893 i highly doubt that, every farmer etc. Feeds hay to livestock and horses. They need it just like bunnies but giving them grass is totally fine just make sure they'll have plenty during winter (depending on the weather in your area
Honestly I'm so disappointed that youtube even allows this on the internet. These channels are obviously aimed for kids and if they’re gonna show improper care and things such as this its just not acceptable. My little brother actually watches this channel alot and when he put on this video i was disappointed. Please don’t hold your bunny that way, put them in a cage, its just ridiculous… 😢

I’m 31 and I can never bring myself to watch these videos because I’ll just cry and this stuff haunts me to much. I’ve gotten enough of an idea from the comments that this bunny is not getting enough love / space / enrichment and care despite the fact these people have money 🤦🏼♀️. This is TOTALLY outrageous. How could they do such thing? They are obviously millionaires and they wont spend a bit more for their bunnies. The broken leg does not seem normal. Even I am not a millionaire but I spend more than they do on my bunnies. PLEASE don't adopt a rabbit if you don't know how to care for it or wont spend on it. Anyways, thank you Lorelei for helping me care for my bunnies. You've helped so many rabbit owners. Without you, many people wont know how to care for their bunnies.

well i have an outdoor cat and one day me and my mum came home and my cat was meowing to get inside so i let him in and i noticed he was lying underneath the table and i saw a bit of blood and i thought he killed a mouse or bird and brought it in then i noticed it was his LEG, he had lost a leg. i could just see a bit of the bone, it was disgusting and traumatic. i was crying and my mum asked me how it happened but none of us knew how. he got stitches and hes doing great now but, anything can happen to a pet without owners noticing

I could understand if the rabbit was free roam and they were out all day maybe not knowing but considering there are a ton of people in that house, someone should've seen something.

I literally started having a meltdown at the start when he was holding the poor bunny like that 😤😩 and that is just unacceptable about how much money they have and don’t even care about their welfare
They really do care the dad just doesn't know how to hold them and they do have a real bunny cage they show it in another video
I just wanna say thankyou my mom came upon your channel and was convinced to finally get a rabbit and now we a have lion-head blue-fox mix 11 month year old baby bunny named eve free roaming our whole house fully bunny proofed all thanks to you.

Oh god no, rabbits are not for little kids, I’m currently 11, and I’ve wanted a rabbit for a while, I have been doing my research for years, and im still not getting one as I think I’m too young, and currently my cousin has a bunny, and I know more than her mum about rabbits.

Does he not realize the rabbit has fur and it makes them heat up more? Imagine wearing a coat in the summer
It's stupid because it's so easy to keep bunnies cool when they're out on grass. Provide shade, cool water in a bowl, and tile that's been kept in shade or put in the freezer. I've found that even in 30 degrees Celsius, that can keep them comfortable.

having experienced having a bunny break a leg, its really upsetting to see them go through something so traumatic and painful. my previous bunny broke her leg during her first visit to the vets at 3 months old to get her vaccinations and general health check, she was fine up until the vet put her on the set of scales on their table to weigh her. there was a non slip mat on top of the scales but she absolutely freaked and leaped across the room before i could get to her to scoop her up and put her in her carrier because they had finished the exam. she hit the wall pretty hard and dropped maybe 4 feet because she leaped up so high. we picked her up and took a look at her but she was moving fine and seemed okay aside from the shock and fear and she was walking fine on her legs so we took her home, after maybe 10 minutes of being home i brought her some food and she was holding her leg up and not putting any weight on it at all, we realized then that she had been hiding how much pain she was in because she was so scared at the vets. so we rang them back up and they told us to bring her back in, she had snapped her leg clean in two just above the joint and needed corrective surgery to fix it, but because she was so young and small they needed to order in specialized plates and needed to get their manager and top surgeon to do the operation because he was the only one with enough knowledge about smaller animals to do such a complicated procedure, they also told us they would cover all of the costs for treatment and medication because she had broken it in their practice. she was so scared and i felt horrible because she had to stay in a carrier to stop her from damaging it further before the surgery the next day, and for 6 weeks afterwards she wasn't allowed to hop more than a few paces so was confined again to a tiny carrier. it was a heart wrenching 5 months of recovery slowly building up her confidence and getting her leg back to full health so she could be spayed and bonded with my other bunny who was waiting for a new partner. unfortunately the story ends there as she passed away after complications following her spay surgery due to the anesthetic.
I was so proud of her, she was so sweet natured and would let anyone pet her and loved sleeping in my bed getting cuddles and treats. i wish she could have lived to grow old and been able to run and play whenever she wanted here, which wasn't easy for her because of the recovery process. She was so strong and brave but it all became just a little too much for her in the end. but she is happy now with my other bunnies in a place where she can eat as many bananas as she wants and binky to her hearts content forever. I miss you Hazel, fly high my brave little nugget

Love what she said about how freeroaming is doable. It did cost my parents like $150 but it’s so worth it!! My bunny is so much happier, even though she is a senior and doesn’t run around too much.

My bunny broke her spine. Until this day, I STILL have no idea how it happened. I found her loafing on the floor, as always, nothing fallen on her, she did not have anywhere near her anyplace to jump from... she was 6 years old, one of those "meat rabbits", like a New Zealand one, the vet said the x-rays also indicated "thining" of the bones... I had to put her to sleep... My heart hurts so much, even now... and I will never heal...

I work at a tractor supply and anytime someone is buying bunny items or are getting a rabbit, I always recommend watching your channel, and I always give tips on how to care for their bunny. I love how shocked they all are when I say you can litter train them.😂

It really depends, stairs are actually good exercise for bunnies, but there always is a falling hazard - especially if the stairs are not carpeted, since buns do slide on floors quite a lot!

The family is narcissistic, self-absorbed, and incapable of empathy. If they had a drop of empathy in their blood, they would not treat their bunnies so irresponsibly. Bunnies are not plush toys. They are living creatures with feelings. They suffer. Someone should tell this ignorant family that rabbits have delicate bones that can be broken. How did the bone get broken? Of course, the family knows. The way someone treats a rabbit is a good indication of how they treat other people. I feel sorry for the children who are being raised as egotists and liars.

Dear Lennon the Bunny, Im in a really difficult situation someone does not want to give there bunny full time hay, they say she does not need it, a hand full once a week is
enough and they want to put the bunny in the old outside chicken coop. I don't want to interfere, but I can't just let that bunny live in that outdoor chicken coop.
I tried to tell them but they just say That It's cruel to keep a bunny indoors.

guidance on how to handle this.

Maybe direct them towards an educational video or provide them some leaflets on how to care for the rabbit properly? If it’s that bad, it might be better to stand in for the bunny’s sake.
I feel like they may not watch videos if you link them, so maybe print out some bunny care facts (nothing too long) along with the videos anyway just in case. They're still stubborn in learning, ask if need help taking care of bunny so you can show them...
If you're able to take in bunny, maybe offer that too? They could not want advise because they're regretting having the bunny now and don't care how long it lives......

Show them some articles and videos regarding the hay, some people are just very stubborn. But I think keeping a bunny outside isn't that bad, in Germany many do, they secure it very well against weather etc. And we don't have many predators here. So depending on the area and how they'll secure it etc. That Point isn't so bad
