Former pilot here, Nomi... Many possible explanations for the go around on the first landing attempt, pilot error among the least likely in an airliner. It's a little uncomfortable as a passenger but is a completely nornal and common maneuver. Could have been weathet, could have been air traffic control rushing them through the approach, could have been another plane on the runway. Whatever it was, it was probably beyond your pilots' control and they actually protected you!
As a New Yorker, I love seeing people experience the city. I stay far away from places like Time Square though, wayyy too over stimulating. Glad you enjoyed your time here ❤

Sounds like your flight hit wind shear during the landing and the pilot executed the wind shear escape maneuver and reattempted the landing. It is pretty scary as a passenger.❤
It also appears that she is sitting in the back of the plane which like a bus you will feel all the bumps...when booking your flight, even though there may be a cost for seat assignment, try getting a seat over the wing, you will have a much better outcome.

Jungkook from the biggest boy band in the world, BTS, was performing. The fans are called ARMY are from all ages, races etc from around the world, and yes I'm one 'em. The group activities are on pause right now while some of them perform mandatory military service. He's the youngest and doing solo activities. What an experience!

I love the sensation of when the airplane 1st leaves the runway, then the clunk of the landing gear stowing away. And then you're airborne. Love flying so much! Glad you're having a good time. Can't go wrong with Nathan's dogs🌭

I lived in manhattan for 30 years here’s afew things if you want to check them out. Juniors cheese cake. The rocket Geller tree is up not light yet. Chelsea market downtown has shops but a lot of amazing foods to try. Jon’s brick oven pizza in the west village. Magnolia bakery’s banana pudding.
The Highline and Hudson Yard is a interesting place to visit. The Vessel has a short history already. Due to suicides taking place there a few years ago. A Beautiful Sculpture. Be Safe, Have Fun and God Bless You !

I grew up in NY on Long Island (just a quick train ride away from NYC) and Nathan hotdogs are the bomb!! I wish they had places here in Lancaster, , PA. Yes, they sell their hotdogs in the store, but it's not the same (most of them are skinless...part of their appeal is the snap when you bite into the skin!) You should try the plain hotdog...it'll change your mind!!
I so love my City though I’m now in VA I go home often there’s no place like home. I worked right in the heart of Time Square Barcode arcade and AMC movie theaters under TRL it was so much fun.

My (elderly) mom drives exactly how your Uber does. I refuse to let her drive when I’m with her. It’s horrible.
