    VIDEO:
This is a Drum Cover of a Medley I made from Meshuggah's 2012 album release Koloss and is the copyrighted property of its owner(s).
Koloss is such a groovy, phat, big open sounding record that once again shows some amazing song writing by Tomas Haake and the band! There are so many great moments in this album which I have chosen from each song and cut them together to make this medley. I did not use drumless tracks nor did I alter the pitch or speed of any song. All the music is original straight from iTunes. I also didn't need to add a click track as I occasionally do in other covers because there was a guitar to the intro of this medley. I wanted the transitions between each song to be as smooth as possible whilst maintaining similar energy, tempos and feels between them. I played the songs as close to the recording as I could which is why I transcribed the entire performance (See link)
The drums have not been edited in any way nor have I used any sound replacement or triggers. The drums are about as raw as they can get. Brad and I managed to get a great sound in his studio (link at bottom) and I did some mixing, (eq, compression, some reverb) in Protools.
Thanks for watching and following! Please like and share!! \m/

Well, he did, but that depends on how you define 'screwing up' I guess he really didn't, he's just simply not a 'God' He misses intricate double kicks and replaces them with single kicks right from the start. That's not a complaint, simply pointing that out. This guy is...friggin amazing. but 'PERFECT'? hardly. Perfect means setting a finite standard. If you truly strive to always improve, then why would you ever want to be perfect? Being perfect means you no longer need to nor desire to learn any further. Great medley as always. Your choice of song and play style is phenomenal. I've got two questions though: What was the hardest song to learn to play from Koloss? And last I heard as far as bands go, you auditioned for the spot in Animals As Leaders but unfortunately, that didn't end up happening. That was a while ago, so I was wondering if you've found yourself in any other projects. I would definitely be willing to give it a few listens. So I guess it's more like a question and a statement. Thanks for the awesome upload though man. I love these things!

+Luke Hughes Haha cheers mate. Hardest song on this album was Demon's Name, because it was the most physical. Currently playing/touring with Plini and recording with another aussie band called The Occupants

Man. As Ive learned drums over the last few years, your meshugah medley has been one I always come back to. What makes for an interesting viewing experience is that you aren't acting or "playing up" the cover. Good angles, precise hits, top notch.
