Rodeo is one of the best hip hop albums. Literally every song is a damn work of art, there are many people who say that it sounds like something that kanye has done but I have already been in charge of checking it and not at all the same, it is different, more elaborate and less minimalist.
I was a sophomore in high school when this album came out and this and beauty behind the madness were ALL I listened to. This album still hits to this day.
I don’t think this album will ever get outdated, this sound will always sound beautiful and like it just came out for every new listener in the future.

When your dad said he imagines people standing, smoking, and vibing at a Travis concert, I felt that. I used to do just that in my room when I first listened to Rodeo because I had never heard something so catchy and psychedelic. And then I went to a show and the energy of Travis and the rage of the crowd completely changed my perspective on the album. And I think that’s what makes Rodeo so special for me. It’s an insanely creative project.
Honestly, coming from an extreme music lover, I love how you both are able to provide extended, articulate thoughts on the music, furthering the discussion, while also keeping it very relatable by coming from a DIY/ametuerish POV. I also love the way this channel is set up. Your dad providing the first reaction POV and then you countering that with having already experienced the album. To this day I think 90210 is my favorite Trav track. Listening to it for the first time was a truly magical experience. That and "Drugs You Should Try It" solidified Trav as one of the all time greats to me. I'm not as big a fan of his later stuff but it's still awesome. Hope the 20s can bring along another artist as trailblazing as him.

To this day I think 90210 is my favorite Trav track. Listening to it for the first time was a truly magical experience. That and "Drugs You Should Try It" solidified Trav as one of the all time greats to me. I'm not as big a fan of his later stuff but it's still awesome. Hope the 20s can bring along another artist as trailblazing as him.

it’s great seeing other people love this album i have such an emotional attachment to this album and travis himself he’s such a good artist and his production on this album is amazing, when people ask my why i am so obessed with travis they think his music is just like sicko mode or goosebumps but there’s so much more beyond those songs, he’s a whole different person on different songs and no one understands until i play rodeo for them
Any Trav album is perfect for your dad who loves the drums. Trav's dad was a drummer and he is a drummer as well, and has said the most important aspect of his music is the drums
