The Lambs on the Green Hills - Fred Johnston

Another selection from the rare 1994 album, Cregg Castle Nights - Volume III, likely available only in cassette format. Fred Johnston, Galway poet and author, performs a traditional love song of longing and regret, "The Lambs on the Green Hills". His vocals and guitar are accompanied on the harp by Brid Ni Chathain, this being at a time when they were part of a duo, "Clairseach".
Fred and Brid were among several fine musicians that performed at the Cregg Castle in the early 1990's.
