Suggestion (if you're still messing around with this in the first place)
Shorten the wick tubes by ~25% slightly increasing the gap between the wicks and the heat pistons, then rotate the engine about the crankshaft axis such that the wick tubes are more vertical (and therefor under the heat piston).
See if that increases the performance.
Nice job overall!
Très très beau travail , chapeau l'artiste 👍
Absolutely brilliant 👏 amazing work, I would love to have the skills and tools to build one, I just want the motor to look at every day 😀
Bravo !
Super boulot... impressionnant !
what a beautiful little machine!
Wauw, it is a pleasure watching you manufacturing the engine. Good engineering knowledge og good craftmanship. Impressing.
Jolie! Il a l'air bien stable.
Beau travail sur le crankshaft.
Really nice detailed work. Great video. Ron
A thing of beauty , a joy forever.
Que talento en general !!!! Felicitaciones y bendiciones.
Bravo très bon et beau travail
VERY IMPRESSIVE...the computerized milling machine operating at such a tiny scale...wow!
Superbe!!
Très joli travail !! Impressionnant !
Superb work, very nice!!!
Why turn the cylinders vertical? It makes the burner send flame straight up instead of across the hot end.
That's impressive.
c'est beauuuuu, bravo.
Un trabajo perfecto, superior, profesional.
Can I buy one how much money
Make four circular wick burners around the upper part of four engine heads (like a halo of flame) to reduce heat loss to the atmosphere. The circular burners will provide heat all around the head and not just at one small surface. You can further retain heat by supplying a copper plate circular hat above the burner and engine head to retain the heat down wards and not just heating the air above. Make sure the hat is connected to the engine head so that the heat from the cap is transferred to the engine head. This way a very small flame will give best energy efficiency due to reduced heat loss and heat will be applied where it matters.
I suspect that at least half the beauty in this project is in the simplicity of his work. They were designed for an alcohol burner... this works with 4 alcohol burners! Beautiful job!
très bien!
Congratulations, your project was very beautiful, I liked the finishing.
Is this hot cylinder tube stainless?
What is the diameter of the displacement piston?
Leandro Wagner.
Thank you Leandro,
Yes, the hot cylinder tube is stainless steel (inner diameter 13mm). Inside, the displacer diameter is 12mm. This displacer is massive aluminium (not hollowed).
Very cool!
Super vraiment !
Super savoir faire sinon !!👍
Genio. Felicitaciones.
You always do such beautiful work. I love watching your videos. Did you name this engine after the Greek Seamonster?
Bravo
Bonjour
Nice Job
C'est beau.
nice construction ! ... I would try to use a burner without any wick.
My god this is a work of art. Do you have plans for this?
The 4 cylinder is cool, but the first factory built model is pretty nice. Built as a unit & simple.
Fantastique! Très excellente! That was very impressive. What is the run-time of this engine with a full fuel tank?
Awesome project, well done. Did you make a Mk2 ?
Brilliant! Do you think the timing of each cylinder is in sync?
very beautiful ....
if you able to make horizontal mounting i think it will more efficient.... in this model flame is not covering large surface ...
ahahahaha you made it slower , bigger and more expensive . great job)))
Nice...
Coisa mais linda parabéns queria um
Great👍👏
Muy bonito!
Brilhante trabalho.
i think it spins much slower.. is it more torque maybe
Bon travail!
Are you using the fuel as a heat sink? Clever, if so.
WOW
sa bosse dur . bravo ! . combien de temp pour réalisé ce moteur ? .+1 ab
Why do stirling engines all seem to be made without lubricating systems?
very nice.. do you sell these kits?
You should put that engine in a little boat like a Windermere Lauch
What if instead of using alchohol you used butane as a fuel and have a more concentrated flame, like those small butane lighters that have a small jet flame , they would be way more efficient and would also make the engine a lot more powerful, you could also adjust the output of the butane gas of the flames so that it kind of acts like a throttle
Based on your Model can we make home generator 1 KW ?
How much would you charge to make one?
How much efficiency are you leaving on the table by not orienting it so that the flame is under the drive piston?
Fais en jonc le prochain. De l’OR mer de
But this is not idle RPM, this is max RPM. But this engine can handle more.
How to increase the power of Stirling engines?
Where can I buy these?
I want to buy a demo stirring engine of 2 celnder. Pls give price
A small generator can be connected.
looked everywhere online and not finding this engine for sale
He made it lol
How can i get this engine 100 cc
SHOW
Very good do you have for selling
Tu utilises quoi comme logiciel de modélisation ?
SolidWorks
@@WalterCoulede okay merciiiiiiiiiiiii bcp
I have just ordered engine. Would it be possible to purchase the cad drawings. Cheers and many thanks. Laurie
Hello @UCoYgwgGb5BUlJk0gas2cb1Q
My answer is late, sorry. I do not check youtube so often.
I'd be glad to share my files with you. I'd nice this engine has a little brother somewhere on earth.
Please, e-mail me here : trisoforus@free.fr
@@WalterCoulede Very amazing production, am I too late? I want to order CAD drawings from you, cheers, thank you very much. Laurie
Great project, would you consider selling it, or in the form of drawings, I hope to be able to manufacture it, sincerely!
Buy it in EBay.
V8?
Why aren't there Stirling engine cars
The arrangement you have for the flames in your final version is extremely inefficient. Ideally you really want the flame under the hot end, so you would be best putting it on its side again. That way you'd be able to get away with a narrower wick and it would be more efficient, and the cold side vanes would work better as well as it would easier for air to flow between the vanes. So overall you'd have greatly increased efficiency.
🌟🏁🛸🇺🇦👍
Bonjour,
Now kake one big enough to run a row boat.
some info. at 13:25, counterweight vibration damping ABSORBS energy; and should NOT be used with a heat engine. the out of balance condition at each crank should be minimized, only, via the use of radially Symmetrical Masses; aka disc-shaped component (as seen on many tiny, manufactured engines.) you may know that due to variations in heat conductance, convection, etc., No two heat engines are Identical, in their operation. as a result, there are minor losses, when engines are combined. the use of bellcranks (or any overly complex linkage) is NOT recommended. because, More energy is Lost in a more Complicated linkage. in any Vertically oriented engine configuration, the engine Must, internally, overcome Gravity, FIFTY PERCENT of the time. aka energy Lost.
at 12:54, the presence of HEAT-conductive metal links between the sides Guarantees that the cold-sides will Warm Up, during longer periods of operation; and engine performance will gradually DEGRADE.
you may know that the Mass in All reciprocating/orbiting components Should be Minimized; including cold pistons/wrist pins, displacer shafts and connecting rods/ends.
you may know that the Length of a connecting rod Should be sufficient to 'smooth' the relative transverse movement, at the the crank. googletranslate
It's my very first Stirling engine. That's why i chose to base this concept on a reliable chinese model. There's so much things left to understand about thermodynamic theory, for me...
The goal was only to see it start and run. I attached no importance to efficiency.
Complex & short linkages were needed to get a compact engine (not too high). Otherwise, the engine should have been ugly. I took care of free movements of any moving parts. To my eyes, this "forest" of links moving each in its own direction plays a lot in the pleasure. I'll see later for a more efficient Stirling engine.
Thanks for your advice.
I think you miss the point of the exercise
Now put that in a car.
4 takt, zu verkaufen?!
Sound like a diesel engine
C QUOI TA POUDRE MAGIQUE LE LA VEUT XD
