the chars are so pretty in this game, i personally love how the adult char models actually look like adults both fem and masc and doesnt look like kids and how the kid models actually looks like kids and not infants that can walk
This is basically the whole video summarized into one comment. Still watch the video, though, it's a great guide. I only took notes so I could refer back to it later and figured I'd post it here.
1. Get all waypoints before doing anything else
1.1. Pickup materials and farm ores on the way
2. Do the mini-games, puzzles, and the secret side quests
2.1. Gives you various rewards and exploration XP
3. Farm echos by killing monsters and absorbing them (gotta catch 'em all!)
3.1. Similar to artifacts in GI or relics in HSR
3.2. Each echo has its own ability and its own Sonata Effect, both unique to the Echo itself
4. The data bank feature helps you increase your stamina
4.1. Farming echos will not only help you gain better character builds, but also increase your max stamina
5. Exploration progress can help you gain extra rewards
6. Practice the combat system, don't button mash
6.1. Learn how to parry, dodge, when to attack, team synergies, follow-up attack, combo attacks, etc.
7. Learn the movement
8. Simulation training is part of your daily routine
8.1. This consumes Waveplates
8.2. Gives character XP, echo XP, and weapon XP
9. Upgrade your skills in your characters' skill tree
10. Do character ascensions to increase base atk, hp, and def
11. Leveling up weapons
12. Syntonize (weapon refinements in GI or superimposition in HSR) your uncommon weapons
13. Uncle Wei at the Weapon Franchise will sell you useful items
13.1. Character and weapon ascension materials
13.1. Behind him, you will find a crafting table where you can craft better weapons
14. Koko at the Pharmacy sells heals and materials to revive your characters
15. Cooking tables to make food that when used gives you character enhancements
16. Guide book will give you rewards as you progres through the game
17. Union XP (similar to Adventure XP in GI or Trailblaze XP in HSR) and getting more of it to up your Union Level will help you gain free rewards
17.1. In total, 40 standard pulls and at level 45, a free 5-star weapon, and 1600 Astrite (similar to Primogems in GI or Stellar Jades in HSR)
18. Free daily rewards in the "Gifts of Thrawing Frost"
18.1. Free standard pulls, limited pulls, and 4-star character
19. If you are F2P, save your pulls
19.1. On the Novice banner, only pull when you have enough pulls to guarantee a 5-star (this is at 50 pulls)
19.2. You don't need 5-stars to beat the bosses as the 4-stars are strong enough
20. Save your Afterglow Coral (similar to Masterless Starglitter in GI or Undying Starlight in HSR [those things you get when you pull a 4* or 5*]) as you can guarantee character Wavebands (similar to Constellations in GI or Eidolons in HSR)
21. Trophies (or achievements) will provide you with Astrite to get more pulls
22. As you progress, you will get Tutorials for content you haven't seen yet. Reading it will give you extra Astrite.
23. After leveling up a certain amount of times, you will get a Level Gift Pack in the Bundles section for free and gives various rewards
24. Pioneer Podcast (battle pass system) holds various rewards that you get for free and others if you buy it (similar to GI/HSR)

I don't understand #19, why wait to pull all 50? You could get it earlier, no? You're still guaranteed to get at 50 pulls whether you do them spread out or all at once?
@@jsoltani yeah that way u could get other 4 stars from pulling instead of just using the free chars or even better weapons... I didn't get it either...
Quick tips:
Characters' outro skills require you to fill up your Concerto Energy Gauge by doing actions while on-field.
There is a set of weapons that give bonus flat Concerto Energy and Energy Recharge substat. These weapons are like the favonious weapons in genshin and will have high value for support characters since THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO INCREASE CONCERTO ENERGY GENERATION ASIDE FROM THESE WEAPONS PASSIVE THAT GIVES BONUS FLAT CONCERTO ENERGY.
Some of these Concerto Energy weapons are only 3star rarity, and all of them have fairly low base ATK stats. It's best to check your 3star weapons before you get rid of them as these weapons have insane value based off of their passive ability alone.
1st point (teleports) - on one side it's cool to have them unlocked, but on other side, having them locked makes me think "oh i still haven't checked that zone for chests and etc, let me do that before/while unlocking the teleport"
Interesting way to look at it, that’s if you take the route of just farming the open world before progressing with the story 🤔
@@wtfmikxy not sure, in star rail for example, while doing the new penacony story, i was checking every corner before continuing with the "main road", but in hsr the map is small ... i don't remember how i did in genshin but i probably missed 50% of the chests haha
so in short wuthering waves has a similar concept to genshin and honkai star rail, good thing that i play them both

Why would you not do the pulls 8 at a time on the starter banner? Gives you characters to play with while you earn the rest and it doesnt hurt anything
I love the look of the climbing. Genshin's is so damn awful.

Since I'm f2p, I'm planning to do 10 reroll accounts (I already pre-registered them) and the account in which I'll get Jiyan, will gonna be my main account + aiming to get Calcharo on beginner's banner for 2 separate dps for endgame content. Or maybe Verina for healer and buffer

I don't understand why save until you can gaurantee the five star? What's the difference? If I don't get the five star, it's not pity wasted, to goes to the next limited banner. Your chances don't increase if you do all your pulls at once.
They mean that the game might release a more powerful characters in the future. Just like how in Genshin where Ganyu became a meta then powercreeped by Ayaka, then Alhaitham and Neuvi. Star Rail released Dan Heng IL and Jing Liu just a few months after its released, and they really powercreepd the previous meta like Blade. Either way, I'll still pull for Jiyan.
And yeah you're right, there's no sense on saving your currency and pull all at once since the game was a pure rng. I think its impossible to get an early 5-star either on the beginner's banner
@@Noyaaaaaaaaaaa yes, but this game is different. Why say you can do everything with four stat characters and a bit of skill and then tell people not to pull five stars cause of potential power creep?

Bro this is actually a copy of genshin 💀 not even inspiration just straight up stole the UI still gonna play it though
the game is really fun to be honest and I disagree I feel like this is inspiration I can say that first hand putting a lot of hours into both games
Genshin is good in its own way and so is wuthering waves
but as far as copying we can say the same thing about genshin with breath of the wild
I just think it’s games inspired off other games

Genshin inspo from botw it was most obvious in its early stage with the slimes, and hilichurls being clearly based off of slimes and bokoblins from botw but they aren't close, link is a 1 character open world with multiple rotation weapons, genshin is a 4 character open world with only 1 weapon for each character with different roles for each, it's a completely different play style between the two, I should know as I have over 1k hours of play time in botw and have been playing genshin since its release, genshin also has a completely different UI as well as slightly changed inventory system, Wuthering basically copy pasted and changed some things while also adding their own flair, while I don't think it's fair to call it a copy, it def isn't just taking Inspiration, from the map layout to the UI it's literally the exact same as genshin
I still don't understand why it is a problem that WuWa have the same or similar UI with genshin. I mean, the UI in genshin is already so good and comfortable, it would be great that WuWa would copy the UI with a little bit of tweaking cause it's already comfortable enough. I would really like to have this UI in WuWa rather than to change it completely just to be a "not genshin copy" but being uncomfortable with the whole interface at the same time.
Is that a real issue here?
