    www.etsy.com/s...
    Anyways back to the vid, Fluval Flex mods really are available! Things like Lid Propz, Spray Bars, Lid Risers, Intake Covers, Feed Hole Covers, and much much more! Lid Propz also sells other items such as Betta Tubes, Magnetic Plant Holders, Fluval Aquasky Risers, and more!
    In this video we focus on the lid props, lid risers, intake covers, and spray bars. Make sure to check out the unboxing video to see all the items I received from Lidpropz. Ever since I purchased my 2 9 gallon Fluval Flexs I instantly wished they came with some sort of lid prop and spray bar. Or at least had the option available. Luckily LidPropz came along to save the day with some amazing products that I will forever use even on future Flexs I purchase.

    I have a fluval 57 and took the plunge and removed the whole filter box made lid cutouts and added a tidal 35 I gained just over a quarter in water volume my temperature is steady with the heater being on the outside (on the inside it’s heating up the compartment) .The whole thing came out in one piece and can easily be put back very pleased with my results.

      It’s actually extremely common that people remove it. I’d personally just go get a uns cube tank if I didn’t want the filtration back there. Ok, so.....I’m using the original inlet covers with black course sponge behind, if I’m gonna replace with those flush flat inlet covers are they easy to remove if need be to clean etc or are they fiddle to remove aswell. Being quite flat I thought maybe hard to get your nail or finder under edge to lift off?
    Now also with the lid props...what’s keeping the lid from falling down the back at the edge of the tank? What I mean is ive been using the taped light cord section that’s kinda raised from underneath the lid to rest against tank edge so to stop the lid from slipping n falling down behind the tank behind my cupboard. I know there’s two small plastic prong kind I’d bits that’s assumedly for resting against tank edge but I find them short and not too reliable, having the lid fall if bumped etc. I can’t quite see close enough in your video to see if your using them or not.
    I was thinking over the lid lifters and wondering instead of them just being corner pieces , “could” something be made that included front corners but continued straight across the front rim of tank so the glare of light wasn’t visible ? Fair enough leave the sides open but enclose the front wrapping around the front corners about the same amount as your ones do? What do you think ?...and could whom ever it is make them. Unless these mod gadgets are actually from Fluval Company? Cheers...Lisa.
    Oh oh...what have you thought of to cover the top of filter section in rear so that snails etc don’t Shloop up n over into filter compartment....anything as yet? I’m still contemplating what to create or think of 😜

    • @AquatikGuru
      @AquatikGuru  Před 3 lety

      They come off fairly easy. Although, I haven’t had to remove them yet. As far as the props, the lid has a ridge on it, along with 2 tabs in the back that prevent it from sliding backwards when opened. As fas as snails, I haven’t had any make it to the back compartment. I’m not sure if they just don’t, or don’t want to haha!

    Does he make fluval spec 5 stuff? Or is it universal?

    • @AquatikGuru

      Yes he has stuff for the flex’s, specs, EVOs, along with universal stuff, and many other really awesome supplies for other aquarium uses.

      It will be excellent for a 5 gallon for sure! It’s an amazing little kit. Not to much and not too little co2

    Don’t the lid come off??? It’s easier than those prop things????

    • @AquatikGuru
      @AquatikGuru  Před 2 lety

      Yes the lid comes off. The lights attached to the lid so if you’re trying to do something like Aquascaping, you can still see in the tank very well to scape it exactly as you’d please. It also helps with setting up the hardscape to shadow in desired location. They also work well during cleaning so you can see what you’re cleaning. As well as catching fish, fry shrimp etc and being able to see them better than with the lid off. It’s a cheap awesome add on in the end that benefits in ways you don’t know til you try them

    • @AquatikGuru
      @AquatikGuru  Před 2 lety

      So in the end, it can make it more difficult to have the lid off as it prevents you from seeing what you’re doing in the tank

    why upgrade such a expensive tank you can you build from starch a cheaper tank

    • @AquatikGuru
      @AquatikGuru  Před rokem

      Cuz why not? Why do people buy sports cars when they can buy civics? Cuz they want to 🤷. Usually if people don’t like something they just ignore it. Not used to someone getting mad that I bought something lmao.

      @@AquatikGuru I'm not even mad. I keep looking at these tanks at the pet store. Keep wondering if they are worth it...

    • @AquatikGuru
      @AquatikGuru  Před rokem +1

      They really showcase an aquascape. The lights a lil weak. That involves replacing the lid for a better light. The tank itself is nice right away. These upgrades make it more friendly I guess. Especially the lid props cuz if you keep you lid and light, it holds it open so you still have the lighting while you’re working on the tank. There’s spray bars to lower the flow. A bunch of nice upgrades fluval doesn’t offer. So my good friend LidPropz started making a ton of accessories for this tank and other tanks to make them more adaptable to multiple types of keeping.

    • @AquatikGuru
      @AquatikGuru  Před rokem +1

      The cheap co2 kits I used help a ton as well with growth if you do keep the stock lighting. It really helps amp the growth without going too far
