Wow, this was a hard one to get right. I'm not even kidding when I'm saying that I considered making this half a dance track because I already spent too much time desperately trying to make it sound good. And making a song sound good even if you don't like it that much is hard. Yes, I don't like PiT's battle theme, it's one of the worst ones in the series. Which is still good, but just not quite on the same level as Superstar Saga's banger.
As you can hear, I settled with a style that's still mostly faithful to the original, but since I didn't like the 808 or whatever the original drums were supposed to be, I replaced them with a normal drumkit to drive the rhythm. I also spent quite some time getting the bass synth to sound just right. The brass also took a while, now that I think about it. Yep, this has definitely been the hardest song of this project yet, and if I didn't already have this one finished by the time my spare time, well, got Thanos-snapped out of existence, I probably would've skipped it for now.

The fact that such a small youtuber still puts in the effort to make quality content- in a world were the lowest common denominator shit is what gets you to the top- gives me hope for humanity. Keep doing what you're doing

Oh, You Made the correct choice with the drums. They Made sense for the original but here, accompanying the trumpets and specially the final section of said trumpets, really elevate the sense of 'Popeye-esque cartoon fight' the theme always had.
I will say, The Guitar you used was perfect, my only somewhat issue is the trumpets, They feel a little TOO orchestrated, and it makes the theme seem less like fighting music and more for a live performance. Not that that's a problem, just that I think if it were more Compressed, it might help somehow.
Edit: While I highly disagree with what you said about the theme being somehow the worst battle theme in the series, the fact that someone who disliked the theme could make such a good remix proves that you really are an Incredible Musician.

The love the electric guitar you used for the bass. It keeps a level of aggression to this originally fairly upbeat battle song. But with that extra little edge, it has this new layer of urgency and I ADORE it. Great work!!!!

Holy crap you made this theme sound even better than it already was. I already very much liked this theme because it fit very well for the theme of Adults and Babies teaming up.

While I understand this being on the lower end of the ranking list for some people, I think it fits incredibly well for the game's more serious tone. It's cautious, but still has the fun and whimsical energy of the rest of the series.

I never really saw the main instrument being a trumpet, I always thought it would be more like one of those synth type sounds from Paper Mario 1. Just a personal take on it. Great work!

HOLY SHIT!!! YOU MADE THIS SONG SOUND GOOD!
Probably the only personal nitpicks I have are that the bass feels a little drowned out by the other instruments (though I get balancing that stuff is difficult), and that the triangle at 00:38 that slowly gets louder as a lead-up to the next part of the theme is barely noticable in this version. Though those might even be the type of things that official versions would have also ended up doing, so I can't judge too much.
Overall, though, you're really good at matching the spirit of the official DX M&L themes, something other attempts fall a little short at. Really cool that you're able to even do a theme you dislike justice.

Maybe don't add that much reverb to the brass instruments, it sounds good tho.
I don't even think I added any additional reverb to it, this should just be what's baked into the samples. But thanks for the feedback, might fix it in the (eventual) album release!

I cant lie this is a good remix but in my opinion partners in time battle theme isn't that good and its the worst battle theme in the mario and luigi series so I think we need an entire new theme for the remak
I think it may need another part added to it like they did to the Superstar Saga battle theme
