- Happy Friday friends! It feels good to finally be posting a regular studio vlog! This one is extra cozy and full of lots of different activities as it follows a long weekend! I catch you up on a few updates, play around in my sketchbook, spend time outside, tackle some house chores, and do some studio work! Love the video! In a much earlier video, you mentioned that working full-time was not for you. I'm curious how many hours a week you work that gives you time to create? I am finding out, after many years of full-time and even working two jobs, that 40+ hours just causes me to burnout and not feed myself creatively. I think it's such a common feeling but no one really talks about it!
Oh boy, yes the full-time job life is so hard to include creative time into! And it’s so hard because most people are unable to have any job other than that because of how expensive it is to live! I fortunately am able to work part-time now at about 28 hours a week (about 5.5 hours a day) nannying and am able to spend the rest of the time into the art practice/business! It’s different for everyone that’s for sure. But that’s currently what works for me at the moment!💛✨ I hope you’ll be able to find some more time for creativity with out feeling burnout! I totally know the feeling and know how hard that can be.

I've been trying to make a rug (not punch needle, but pulling the yarn up through from the bottom--do I need anymore prepositions here?), and every time I see someone else's work, I think I must be doing it wrong. 😂
It was definitely a learning curve!!! I thought I was doing it wrong the whole time working on it! But watched videos, and seemed like it was right haha!

Ah yes!!! I used to watch it with my aunt growing up and just loved mulder and scully!!! So I’m watching through it again! (Though I do skip quite a few episodes as they can be a little too dark/gruesome for me!)

It's kind of deceiving but no! I actually just live in a regular neighborhood but we are blessed with some nature landscapes behind us!
