  • A Warts and All look at freight and loco movements around Frodingham depot, Scunthorpe and a quick visit to Knabbs Bridge.
The footage is at times shaky, unlevel and suffers from poor focusing.
However, it remains a nostalgic look into a bygone era.
Details of workings were difficult to come by at the time
and can't be confirmed so have been mostly omitted.

Great vid mate. It's the content that counts... Split box 37s, Choppers, Claggy 47, damn, you even had a Speedy 08 Gronk.
Happy days back then, BR at it's best. Thanks for posting. 😁😁👍👍😎😎

Thanks again Ian - the 20's on the South Bank of the Humber in 1992 totally revitalised my interest in railways - in the blood now.

Great footage yet again. 37190 must have recently been transferred then from Motherwell depot after the recent closure of Ravenscraig steel works.

Yes think it had been - without looking at notes it appeared around that time and was a regular.

It's not bad at all. I have seen worse quality from mobile phones. Great content from the days we had so much variety to see on our days out

Thanks - I think my second visit to the same location on the 7th is better though as most was filmed on a tripod - Warts and All of course

So much has changed so quickly. 30 years and most of this has gone, sanitised, and power stations alongside industrial sites like this, closed and demolished. That is modernisation for you I suppose... but we need some coal fired power stations at the moment!
