      @bruhmoment49293 Před 2 lety +1

      I just started using the whitening strips. I've seen a bit of change and im on day 2 now. But basically they are designed to be safe for your teeth if you use them correctly. They do not harm your enamel if you use them as the instructions tell you to. And also to add to it when you start doing whitening strips, its often recommended avoiding foods and drinks like coffee, chocolate sodas etc because they could cause staining or some harm, because the way the whitening strips work is that they basically penetrate a layer of your tooth into the enamel and then they chemically whiten the enamel of your tooth. So basically for a little time after using the strips, foods like soda and coffee can get into your teeth more easily and could potentially cause staining and erosion, so it is recommened that you stay away from those. You can find a list of all the types of foods you should avoid and what not to do after using them. But other than that, as long as you use them as instructed your teeth will be just fine. They might not work as well for everyone but for me they seem to be working great!

    I think using baking soda more than once a day can erode your teeth. Also brushing hard with it is probably not good long term

      White strips can brighten teeth significantly and results typically last a few months. Every patient is different. If your teeth are very yellow from coffee, tobacco or other products, I would recommend in office whitening for better results.

    Good afternoon (here in Stockholm) Doc. When i use 2 to 1 mix of H(2)O(2) and NaHCO(3) can i use it like 1. 365-66 days/year. Even dow. I dont think is needed once you got your natural collor then probably you shod stop using it (cus what is the point? hehe).
    Nr 2: Shoud i brush my teeths the same (with regular tooth paste afterwords) cus. fluorine is steel needed to be add on tooth any way after the mix. So there will be 4 brushing in total in a shorter period of time (2 weeks-1 mounth) or maybe 3 brushing only use mix on the most important brush before sleep, its also usualy when you have more time to do this, during morning i gues 85% are on rush.
    Thanks alot!!! and excuse me for my bad english hehe.

      Hello Ivan. Rinsing with hydrogen peroxide and water is good for removing bacteria that causes bad breath and gingivitis. It also helps brighten your teeth. Brushing with a fluoridated toothpaste is important for cavity prevention. If you’re looking for a toothpaste that has peroxide and fluoride try Arm and Hammer PeroxiCare.

    Hello Dr. I really love your video. My PCP recommended me Crest for teeth whitening. I've a question. I've a tooth with white spot since my childhood. In one of your replies you said it could be early cavity, but my dentist never mentioned anything about the spot and I don't have any issues either. Can I use the Crest whitening strips without harming my teeth?

    • @DrBrigitteWhite
      @DrBrigitteWhite  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello Zarrin! Thank you for following! White spots can occur for various reasons. They may present as areas of hypermineralization that occurred during tooth development. There are dental procedures that use materials to help reduce the appearance of these spots. Perhaps your dentist can advise.

I have pretty strong teeth currently and I'm afraid of the sensitivity that could happen after the process. I do chew on Ice from Low Iron, but that's about it..Gums are clean and no cavities !! Should I be worried or am I bugging for no reason ? 🤔 Plz, all advice is helpful🙏🏾

    • @DrBrigitteWhite
      @DrBrigitteWhite  Před 4 lety

      White strips are mildly formulated with hydrogen peroxide as a safe tooth whitener. Enamel is a very hard mineralized tissue that can become harmed by acid erosion, trauma and the decay process.
