I just watched this again and noticed you mentioned Lovecraft being kind of a racist piece of shit. Not wrong, Lovecraft was kind of shockingly racist even for his time. BUT, in the last few years of his life he started getting over his anxiety a little and got out of his house and was less socially isolated and he actually did a full 180 on it as a result. He actually started railing against racists and was turning into a socialist when he died. It's in some of his personal letters that weren't like secret or undiscovered or anything, they just hadn't been transcribed into digital form until a few years ago so most people had no idea and were just going off of his published stories. Which are SUPER racist.
