So cool that he pulled that end of year record. They opened up the only have heart show I ever went to in 2009
Also that Neanderthal record is pivotal for west coast Powerviolence. So many bands were influenced by them and Eric wood the bass player is basically the father of the genre.

Movie music vol 1 is their best record imo it’s great 100% recommend. I think that one of my hottest takes is that movie music vol 1 is infinitely better than frame and canvas

These, Tuesdays with Tay, and the gear talk videos (not to mention the bledfeast videos) are what introduced me to rfc and it really sucked to see you guys stop posting that kind of stuff. @@misanthropist3 have heart played the largest hc show in history. Putting aside their influence in the scene that alone would merit being called a legend. Also this is my personal opinion but Songs to Scream at the Sun is a 10/10 record

When I first heart Fiddlehead I immediately thought of Samiam. Also I hear a lot of Hot Water Music in some of their songs.

Gemma Thomas Al doesn’t work at RFC anymore, that’s why TWT is gone. Dane said they tried to keep filming it on their own, but they said it just wasn’t the same without Al, so they just ended it.

I also disagree with your Dag Nasty choice. I like Four On The Floor better than both those albums. Growing up in the D.C./Maryland/Richmond scenes, melodic music is a major part of that sound. Always has been. That's where my love for melodic music came from. Dag Nasty matured and took on that sound. Hell, even your band is heavily inspired by Fugazi. I can hear it in the riffing.
