Riku: “Thanks for bringing the keyblade. Here, have a toy to play with.”
Sora: “You little **fool** “
Sora did quite a considerable amount of mental trickery and mockery to Riku who was unfortunate enough to fall victim to Soras clever little trap of social teasing.
DUAL WIELDING
@@callmezeldaonemoartime Valor Form in KH1?
“Go play hero with-“
“Another wooden sword! Thanks, man! My old one was just about to break!”
BOTW moment 😂
That chip damage is equivalent to throwing a single woodchip at someone over and over
I love this comment 😂
When you crit, the enemy gets a splinter.
Aero: MY CHIP DAMAGE IS BETTERRR
Lmaooo
I just realized that the wooden keyblade wishing star actually is capable of fighting and doing critical damage but a wooden sword (it's a sword made out of wood) doesn't do damage at all ...
I would've taken the staff, the +1 MP would've been a life saver! Respect for going with the sword for the challenge. :O
The increased strength...might have helped?
Imagine doing even *less* chip damage, if it's possible. Or if the crits were even lower...
@@shiftfire4511 Magic damage in KH1 is based (exponentially if I recall) off the total MP Sora has, so that +1 MP would absolutely do more in the long run than a +1 or whatever in strength the sword gives him. Plus, you can use Strength Up's in the game to buff sora to the max possible strength stat even without the sword, but there exists no such item for MP. If you don't choose the staff, Sora will never reach his maximum possible MP value.
@@shiftfire4511 Looks like someone here doesn’t know how broken magic is in this game
@Richi huh, so that's why my Magic has always felt so shitty in this game, since I dont pick the staff. Glad they fixed that moving forward, magic feels useful pass 1.
When Sora told Riku "He didn't need the keyblade", he really meant it.
So the true "my friends are my (only) power" run!
Imagine that in kh2 they do basically no damage at all that game lol
You just realized what it’s like to be Donald.
Everyone and their nobody is a keyblade master. Takes true skill to be a Wooden Sword Master.
But, due to the story, the wooden sword shouldn't be able to hurt/destroy them.
Yet, he is able to do so, means, with the little trick to be able having the wood sword, he tricks the system to believe it's a key blade !!
Link: First time?
@@Preceyese-SeyeghtWell yes, but Donald and Goofy can still do damage without keyblades. And as they say: if it can bleed, it can die.
@@mid-boss6461 Yeah, but maybe Donald and Goofy are able to hurt and destroy them cause of the Keyblade. Maybe they are connected with Sora while traveling together. So maybe the Keyblades effect works for their weapons too when they are close to him or travel together as a team. Or maybe they use special weapons who work like the Keyblade, without being a Keyblade. But the wooden sword, shouldnt work at all, but the system thinks it is the Keyblade, if you cheat it into the game, later on.
@preceyeseseyeght5888 the wooden sword doesn't do damage because, hear me out, it's a shitty blunt wooden sword.
I really liked the perry mechanic after i got older. As a kid i couldnt do it, but now it feels rewarding. Kh1 was so good
i hate how absent parries are in every other game
Perry mechanic?
PERRY THE PLATYPUS MECHANIC?
Kh1 combat was shockingly deep if you dove deep. I prefer it completely over the floatier feeling of later games. Boy got some weight to him.
@@LainWithSweetTea i wouldn't say its super deep, but still very rewarding
@@dmas7749 Idk man proud mode forces you to mix up your approach and discover some tech. And there's a shocking amount of it if you are looking. Speaking as an action game fan there's a lot game doesn't tell you that you can discover being creative with your combat.
Roxas with the struggle bat (Meaning no magic, no forms, stuff like that) would probably be horribly difficult, but also pretty cool to see!
Oh. Someone did it with Roxas only. Just search Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix with Roxas. They didn't use the Bat sadly.
Literally I've always wanted to beat kh1 with that wooden sword
There is a moment where Sora and Riku argue and Sora says something like "well my power... Are my friends!" And every time I think about kh1 I just think "well my power.... Is THIS WOODEN SWORD"
you literally lived out my dream thankyou
This is how the game would be if Ventus never found shelter in Soras heart.
ong
Nah. The keyblade jumps to sora regardless. Kh1 didn't have ventus in the plan so it was worthiness still
12:18 I love this bit so much
凄い忍耐力だ
自分だったら諦めてる
貴方こそキーブレードの勇者だ
my socks were definitely knocked off by this one, amazing video
His heart was strong enough to be worthy of the true wooden sword.
kh2 but with only the struggle bat would be a cool sequel to this
not sure if anybody suggested that during the livestream/you've already done it
The problem with this is that it is functionally the same as lvl 1 due to KH2 damage scaling, now turning the scaling off and then using the struggle bat would be interesting.
@@abcrasshadow9341 that sounds better, thanks for the correction/suggestion
That damage makes the normal attack in birth by sleep look powerful
BBS normal attack wasn’t bad, diamond form OP
Strong start for 2023 vid wise NInten, looking forward to more :D
Great video Ninten. I like how you always show off a few tricks or things I have never seen in every video.
this was _wild_, so glad it came across my feed. Kingdom Hearts is still one of my favorite games of all time
my god that whole final rest part had me entranced I was on teh edge of my seat lmao
My first experience watching someone else play Kingdom Hearts. I wasn't disappointed! Very entertaining and nice pacing lol
this amount of chip damage is giving me BBS/DDD flashbacks
I didn’t know I needed the phrase “ the machinations of his mind are an enigma” just going to archive that one! 😂😂

"This should help!"
*BANG*
"OoOOooooh..."
This is gonna be a fun video
Now this is content i am here for 🔥🔥
The whole final rest fight I was sweating I can't imagine how you were feeling
If you go above Ursula’s head it easier to get behind her
& yes, I did know about the Sharky wall stagger, kinda assumed that was how you where supposed to beat him level 1 & he has a higher chance of staggering if he uses the charge and misses you close to a wall
Also you can drop 1st form Maleficent’s rock platform with 1 gravity
that double heal on the tiger head's neck was pretty cool lol
this sounds so silly but im so ready
Wow, and I thought using Kingdom Key only on Proud in this game was hard as hell, this is on another level lol
Wait till you hear about Level 1 runs
@@ezekielanderson9055 tru I’ve seen videos of people playing level 1 & I know couldn’t do it. It just seems like the original game wasn’t made for level 1 so they just came up with some stuff on the fly for the remix to give it “level 1” but it’s not balanced or anything like KH2 or 3 where playing on level 1 was in mind of the developers
Wooden sword, lvl 1, no magic, limits, items, abilities, pausing, party members, or summons?
Add no Sora and you got yourself a deal
I think that in this run using the Exp 0 strat in boss fights would be the best option.
That Chernabog fight always gives me nostalgia when i faced him under leveled as a kid lol
Really nice job,dude.
After Ursula does the breathing attack you can get a few hits in, always used that for her on critical.
whoa, I'm shocked you didn't know about going behind Ursula. That's all I would ever do to beat her. I don't think I've ever tried another way.
Kingdom hearts is ... Wood
“This should help”
*BANG*
Kingdom Hearts but Sora decided to make hero playtime a bit *real*
Yooo Ninten! :D You have a CZcams Channel in my recommended!
Oh neat, the weapon Chuck Norris defeated Sephiroth with
Master of wood arts
Ive been playing this game for nearly 20 years. I never knew you could deflect cerberus fireballs at him. I dont think even the books mentioned that.
Sora, that's a stick...
That Chernabog? Idk what its called but that was such an intense fight l felt that my damn self
Why does nobody question the fact that YOU SHOOT FIRE UNDERWATER IN SEVERAL KH GAMES?!?!
Because soras magic is just that strong
Damn it! I was thinking about doing this LMAO
Dude is good at kh 1 and 2
I had no idea that stop was so broken. I never used it, outside of the Phantom fight, I don't think.
Agh, it was stressful to watch the Final Rest fight, and I've only been invested in the run for a few minutes, but I know how long that fight is.
The wooden sword actually works!?
Since this is bascially a Magic build playthrough, here's a couple things I found out when I did mine:
-The elemental magic is really good early and mid game, but falls off in damage late game. Enemies just have too much health for them to be cost effective.
-Aerora is really fucking good! You don't get it until late game, but Aerora/ga does chip damage when upon contact with enemies. This damages can add up really quickly, espeically along your melee attacks, and I found it a better damage dealer than the elemental spells.
-Once you hit late game, Gravity is your best freind. Since it's percentage based, it does WAY more damage against mobs than your elemental spells, and the higher tiers can even kill enemies. Gravity, Stop, and Aerora/ga are gonna be much more cost effective.
"Oh, I'm beating up this child" - ninten 2023
Ok I never knew you can deflect Cerberus Magma balls to make damage. The fight makes more sense to me now I used to roll until his bite attacks
Thank you Ninten, very cool #31
Please post a full VPD of this I need to see it all
It's linked in the description
You have to do this with the dream sword ninten 😂
Ever since I was a little boy who got the game on Christmas 2004, I was wondering if anybody could beat the game with just a wooden sword. Didn't have Action Replay or anything to test it
Lock Shock and Barrel were my wall, that was the fight that genuinely made me stop playing for a while, I think possibly for the first time in my gaming career.
Cerberus I remember being an earlier wall, but not as bad, and the chameleon also a very tough fight but doable.
I would have never expected Ursula of all fights to be the "run killer."
Reminds me of OG PSP BBS Level 1, except without all of the nice DoT spells to carry your ass.
Pure "bonk" run
What if ventus never took shelter within sora lmao
@1:15 i had no idea this was a thing and did it by mistake. i thought my game was broken lmaoooo
Kingdom Hearts but I Keep saying "Oh my god" every other minute
Magic only run, got it
Edit: ...you know in hindsight, getting Aero early would make this too easy
Smh, the real wooded sword would go through heartless like they're nothing.
This is clearly the Wood Sword of Heart.
With Cerberus, you can jump on his back by using his hind legs then his rump. Once on his back, his 2 attacks can't get you and you can damage his heads. Getting on his back doesn't require high jump.
Imagine this while also being at level 1
I had no idea you could deflect Cerberus's fireballs. I always felt like he was abnormally hard for that point in the game, turns out i'm just a fuckin moron lmao
The music at the end is just so class,Amazing, beautiful, fantastic, cool, calm, superior, supreme and just AMAZING, the same as the video.
Finally
A real weapon
0:51 Man had enough games
Shooting fire
From a wooden sword
Underwater.
What?
lol but the wooden sword isn't even supposed to hit the heartless, remember when Destiny Islands was attacked xD Wooden sword went right through 'em
Now do it with the shield. Have fun trying to beat the game with reach the size of a centipede's leg!
How is the dearly beloved version in the outro called?
oh god. i forgot how final rest is.
Now do it with your strength stat permanently at zero!
Is there a mod to play the game backword? Would be a neat challenge
I wanna fight KH bad guys with a wood sword!!! :)
I only beat the big Ursula because I ran around in circles and let Donald and goofy deal all the damage
bruh what's the outro music? it sounds amazing
Idk if you did this, wouldn’t picking the shield be a good idea considering you’re doing chip damage regardless? At least then you’d grab protective moves at a reasonable rate
Yes, though I picked sword just to make it harder, I didn't think it would be as hard as it was lol
Fair enough! Good job with the challenge!!
Lvl1 would've definitely been more difficult in certain fights. Goofy carried your ass with those MP Gifts.
That. Is. Paiiiin
the final boss wouldnt be so bad if it werent for the fucking lasers
Why didn't you pick staff? Its by far the best option in KH1, with how MP works in this game.
To make it harder
I beat BBS on Proud so I understand the Final Fantasy health bar type of bosses, but I don’t understand the comparison everyone is making
I would’ve liked the see the oogie fight without the use of genie. The jack attack strat seemed pretty good.
Genie barely did any damage to be fair, just made it a little faster
@@Ninten ok that makes sense
what would win?
a hellfireball, created by the freaking dog of hell himself
or
a wooden toysword?
You get blizard from wonderland if you get all evidence.
Waluigi would have kept the wooden spoon though
Still don't know how Sora can use magic without the keyblade tho.
Since people can learn magic without a keyblade it's probably just like a secondary skill you pick up along the way.
Cough cough DONALD cough cough
Ever played days?
Roxas and Xion do it in a few missions, with their bare hands.
@@Tsukiru hear me out….
*magic*
How does the wood sword not break is it metal on the inside
It's actually made from friendship.
Unda da map, unda da map, here in the void you'll be really annoyed unda da map
How are you dealing damage to heartless? The whole destruction of destiny island segment makes it clear the wood sword candy physically harm the heartless
It's not something I ever thought to check because I never usually had Scan at that juncture, but I think you're right about Destiny Islands. I don't remember ever connecting a hit on the Heartless there with the wooden sword. I'm almost positive I remember dealing a pitiful amount of damage to the Dark Balls in Hollow Bastion once you get the wooden sword there, though. Maybe they're two different versions of the wooden sword, one with collision (the one you get in Hollow Bastion after losing the Keyblade, and presumably the one he has here), and one without (the Destiny Islands wooden sword)?
Edit: The Kingdom Hearts Wiki says the Wooden Sword can't affect Shadows. That doesn't preclude it from damaging other Heartless, but it's possible that's just because it's assumed you won't run into any others before getting the Kingdom Key.
@@geneericname7138 ah that's interesting, so it only avoids the baby ones
IF you beat Sephroth and Ice Titan with this piece of shity, you have fully my intense respect by all eternity, dude...
