Thats the point of no contact. It allows time to reveal how they truly feel about you. If the connection and attraction was real and strong, they will regret leaving and come back.

It seems to me like he had someone and wanted to move forward with that relationship. He didn’t want to lose the chance by having you around or the relationship was so toxic to him that he didn’t want you to linger around and not leave. But, he wanted to make sure you got your stuff out and then know you wouldn’t be coming around or showing up . Idk if things changed. For what it looks like this comment is old and I hope everything worked out for you and you are doing great

It works on two levels - 1. - If someone can go their entire life without contacting you - frankly they don't like you that much and they are not worth your time. Wouldn't you want someone who likes you and wants to communicate with you? Aftera break up the best thing one can is do is NC. How is all that anxious communication going to solve anything??!? 🤔 2. Human psychology suggests that people always want what they cant have. If you are strong enough to make space between you two, after a couple of weeks you appear all the more attractive.
