I want to repaint her boots in either light gray or silver her boots, with acrylic markers. Considering making the black and pink layered tulle sleeves for her jacket as close as her initial design.

Catty does have a painted nose
its a slightly warmer black, almost brown, compared to her purple/black skin(? fur)

I'm late but I'm finally ready to talk. I've been so overwhelmed with all this news I had a low key doll fatique. Overall this year is fire and I need to take moments to pace myself.
I love the Hissfits, the release is terrifying tho. Apparently no major retailer picked them up so we have no clue where these will release and how limited the production will be. I will die without this toralei
These refresh dolls are incredible. For literally EVERY SINGLE ONE they take what I liked and gave me what I was lacking. I genuinely love and adore every single one of these.
Lagoona has always been my fav ghoul, but with this doll she's my style icon. I don't just like this doll I want to wear this doll I want to be this doll. The backpack is spectacular too. The shoes are the only thing thats lacking, but they're mostly covered by the pants anyways
Frankie is serving Tim burton and I'm in love. I know people don't like this mix of patterns and colors but this is juuuust working for me. Its the right level of quirk the right type of patterns to mix, like it just feels so burtony. Also the hair and makeup has me swooning
Cleo is spectacular. This feel SO g1 Cleo. And the scroll as a textbook is ingenious. I also can't believe it took mh this long to make cartouches part of her design (the earrings). Like they're still finding new egyptian iconography to utilize in g3 in a way g1 didn't.
Catty is just SO damn cute. I had concerns based on leaks becuz the dress was a solid bodycon, but thankfully the later leak was correct. This version of the dress is much more flattering. I didn't love the bow sleeves on the leaks, but in the stock photo seeing the material its actually working for me. I love the sculpts used, the main thing missing is painted details on those sculpts. However thats the type of light custom I have fun doing myself. Her lip ombre is fantastic, and eye makeup pops. I love she has microbraids mixed in with the straight hairs. I just miss the silver nose, but again Ill just do that myself. Now we need iris in this body type too, crazy iris showed up in like the very first episodes but still isn't in this series like spectra is
Probably the greatest change MH/Mattel made was making Toralei be able to sing. Like G1 she loved singing but was horrible at it, and the OG concept was that those three were gunna form a band. I'm glad they finally did!

At Catty Noir Part, We were like wow MATTEL 🩷 really just branding ---B for Barbie and her signature pink everywhere 😂 then Planet Him says "I really love the 13 necklace' lol ... MATTEL playing w/ us 😂💀 all we can see is Monster Barbie

personally i looove the new Lagoona look. i just wish the lower part of the pants weren't sheer. Frankie is a total upgrade, even though i dont like the pink in their hair. no notes on Cleo, she's a 10/10. overall these refresh looks are great.
as for Catty, her dress is definitely fitted better. still would have preferred long poofy sleeves and ankle boots, but at least the shrug's sleeves arent vinyl anymore
Wonder if there will be a future playset or animated movie for Monster 💀 Fest ? And if there will be more storytelling around these concert/music 🎶 series MATTEL 🩷 created for dolls? ... like new school 🎒 ...new rock band vibe...wonder if they will ever branch out with their world building : make a Field Trip set or Parents Day set (just new stories) and ...will there be a Core G3 Refresh for CLAWD 🐺, DEUCE 🐍 and TORALEI 😺? WE HOPE!
I will buy most of the dolls this year for sure (except the mystery dolls and ones with disgustingly big accessories, my room can’t handle it). I really love the core dolls and agree that the new Cores are iconic. Still kinda shocked what they did to Watzie though. Why is he ALL metallic? I hope if they make an Iris doll they make her fat too because I’m not good at customizing with ears and tails😂
I think we need her real bad too, we need a doll w a more street/skater esthetic

this Frankie and Cleo go CRAZY!!!! and Lagoona is so so cute i need her too but omg... i can't even lie new Frankie is my favorite of the core refresh and possibly the best G3 doll to release yet... idc what anyone else says. They are serving crazy scene kid and it WORKS SO WELL. Cleo is also just peak Cleo. definitely eats up her G1 not sorry. i need all 3 but my official ranking is Frank > Cleo > Lagoona. but i really can't stress enough how fun, creative, and gorgeous they all are!
and OOOH CATTY!! she looks just adorable, her crazy sleeves aren't my usual taste but she pulls off the look flawlessly. definitely have to pick her up as well.

I think someone at Mattel who is designing some of these dolls are sabotaging them on purpose. Like Catty, Venus, and core refresh Draculaura The pink is a shade that personally gives me a headache after about 30 seconds and then the pink and green on Venus is so atrocious. Like seriously I get a real headache from the tones.I know y’all love her but if you really think about what kind of Queen she could’ve been like just use your imagination for a minute guys. Stop accepting pure garbage. I will not be purchasing Catty or Venus if I did I would have to reroot and totally re do them. Instead of celebrating what you think is a step forward really look at it. Those two Queens should have SLAYED hard. If they can change dolls whole skin color then they can stray a little bit and really re invent some of the dolls that really need it.
