I’m glad that you made sure to separate Crystalized Harumi from Oni Trilogy Harumi. At first I was excited that she came back, but then her return felt empty. Especially her “redemption”. I’m willing to brush it off as long as she’s been arrested for her crimes

I totally agree. They should've at least made a confirmation that Harumi was paying for her crimes. Not only did they butcher Harumi as a character, but they made the situation worse for her relationship with Lloyd. It's the most toxic relationship I've ever seen in animation.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for, number one, separating Oni Trilogy Harumi and Crystallized Harumi, and second, for putting her on this list.
Harumi's character in the Oni Trilogy is LITERAL PERFECTION. Her death *meant* something, and left a huge impression. The poetic justice of her parents being unable to escape from the crumbling building, then her taking revenge on the ninja for their fate, only for HER to suffer the same way... it makes me cringe to see how they absolutely BUTCHERED her character in Crystallized.
Ninjago is famous for never letting a character stay dead lol, but this time, her whole arc (which DID HAVE SOME REDEMPTION AT THE END, NINJAGO WRITERS) was too perfect to bring her back just to have her be the single most confusing, bland character in the season with the single worst redemption arc in the series.

@@adenweiner5573 all the Crystallized controversy lol fr-
Where I stand with Crystallized is not even me hating the season... but I more so hate what that season WASN'T. Like, all of the scrapped ideas I've been hearing about, the alternate endings, like how Nya wasn't going to come back within the legit the first 5 episodes, how the Overlord was going to be revealed as the Oni side of the FSM, how Lloyd was going to TAKE OVER THE OVERLORD'S THRONE AND BE A FREAKING VILLAIN LIKE HE WAS IN THE START OF THE SERIES, like, I- just- AUGH-
It makes me upset that the writers didn't just go like "heck, why not" and WRITE, like they did with their past storylines. Like, if they were going to end Ninjago, end it with a BANG, or at LEAST something that is on par or better than the past seasons. I'm actually glad to see someone who DOES like Crystallized tho, I'm glad that not everyone has the same opinion lol-

@@Xverest_ i do have a script and a ending here they both are... hopefully those changes can fix Harumi's character they are small changes but are very effective i think harumi was great up until ep 17 of Crystalized i think that is where things started to go downhill with harumi's character, based on the previous episode she did seem pretty hesitate to kill lloyd and looked like she was trying to have a heart to heart and then he drags her out of the oni temple and after that episode i thought yessss!!! now harumi is gonna go to the good side but i was wrong, so i would make lloyd and harumi have a conversation as they go through the jungle harumi would once again try and convince lloyd to join so he would not get hurt and lloyd would then proceed to tell her, i think it would go something like this but i have never written before so please take i lightly and don't be too harsh please
Harumi: Lloyd, where are were going
Lloyd: where are we going, we're getting out of here that's where we're going
Harumi: this place, brings back old memories doesn’t it?
Lloyd: yeah it does, ( he keeps on swinging his katana to keep the leaves out of his way)
Harumi: Lloyd if you would just listen to me and join the Crystal King-
      Lloyd then turn to Harumi
Lloyd: why? why Harumi why are you doing this? the overlord is gonna destroy everything including you, trust me, once he's done with you he'll betray you just like he did to my dad.
Harumi: The overlord says in order to end all conflict one side must win and that’s the dark side, he says that there will be peace in the dark, that’s all I ever wanted Lloyd, why do u think I resurrected your dad, I knew you ninja couldn’t handle any threat that came in your way but your father can, after all he did destroy the great devour, the same monstrous snake that you and your ninja failed to stop and took my parents away.
Lloyd sighs and this and keeps moving
Harumi: deny it all you want you know it’s true you and the ninja failed Ninjago, as you failed me, you failed to save my parents and you failed to save me.
Lloyd: Fine, but you should be careful for who you choice as you’re teammates, I’m guessing you’ve never read “Jack the Rabbit” before huh,
Harumi: what has that got anything to do with it? Only the fact that the moral of the story is never to trust a snake, my uncle read me that book when I was 10 years old, it was there I I should have never trusted Pythor. Harumi it was him, Pythor was the one who released the great devour all those years ago and he was released by….oh…..no…
Harumi: hmmmm….looks like my point was very well proven, you are responsible, for the death of my parents, for almost destroying Ninjago, you actions as a kid had a way of coming back to in the least possible way you could expect.
Lloyd: I was just a kid! Harumi a kid!! a hopeless lost kid who didn’t know what he was doing it was stupid and yes I was very irresponsible for what I did you’re right and have every right to hate me for it, no matter how many lives I save nothing can make up for the lives that were lost that day, no matter what I do it just isn’t good enough I know I made mistakes and believe me I will never forgive myself for the lives that were lost that day,
Harumi: I hope you never do
      Lloyd looks away saddened
Harumi: you have no idea what I’ve been through-
Lloyd: (yells) What you’ve been through what about me?? I’m the walking definition of trauma, I had to fight my dad as a kid, took tomorrow’s tea, I had to give up my childhood, fought the overlord while he was possessing my dad, had to see my dad sacrifice himself for Ninjago, got possessed by a ghost almost lost my friends in so many battles, we fight each battle like its our last I get it, through the ruins of Ninjago when my father and you took over, when he made you his child and disowned me I get it, I understand what it’s like to live a hard life!! Just stop!! He falls on the floor, Lloyd: Just stop, stop trying to break me more than I already am, (crying)
He feels a warm soft hand touch his shoulder, he looks up to find Harumi staring back at him with soft eyes, no hate in them just sympathy.
      Harumi: Lloyd…..I…..
Then they hear the the crystal heard dragons coming, and they both run next to one of the trees, Harumi looks at Lloyd but he just turns away in sadness.
      Harumi: Lloyd…
Lloyd: stop just don’t my friends are dead, everyone I’ve known and love is dead,
      Harumi: well not everyone
Harumi tries to hold his hand but he brushes it away
Harumi: I…I thought you loved me
      Lloyd: yeah..I did
He meets Harumi’s gaze with sadness in his eyes then looks away Then the bounty shows up and Harumi is in shock and confusion and anger,
      Harumi: lloyd, lloyd look
Lloyd: (sees the bounty) their…their alive
Harumi: but how? I thought I?
The crystal herd is then heard, Harumi looks at the bounty and then looks at lloyd
      Harumi: Go
      Lloyd: What?
      Harumi: go go now,
      Lloyd: but
Harumi: I’ll hold them off go
      Lloyd: but what about you-
Harumi: I’ll be fine your friends need you Lloyd go go now while you still have the chance,
He runs then takes one last glance at Harumi
Lloyd: I failed to save you once, I promise I won’t fail to save you a second time.
Harumi: smiles, Lloyd returns it and Lloyd goes off the Destiny’s bounty with a newfound hope that maybe…just maybe Harumi can change. So that is how I would do 17, not much changes but I figured this might be the best way to go, she doesn’t go immediately to the side of good but has a better understanding of Lloyd and what she is doing she will turn to the good side but anyways what do u think? That is only for Return to Primevel’s eye! Lemme know what u think? do you like the ending i think people would have loved this episode cause this is probably what they were expecting after how the last one ended and the ending i am sure people would have loved that too what do you think?
also here is my ending for the finale:
Tommy Andrason said he wanted to leave all of the characters in a happy place cause he was leaving and therefore ninjago can start anew again as everything is at peace i can see where he is coming from i did like the happy ending although the other ending the original could have been really good as well lloyd taking the place of the Crystal King and having the ninja and harumi off course try to bring him back to normal having the ninja remind lloyd of the good times and harumi admitting her wrong doings and apologizes and how she always liked him and cared for him but felt conflicted and that he is a good person and this is not him and lloyd can struggle and harumi adds on that he is strong and that he has always been strong and resilient everything she could not be but wants to try and become and how he is a real hero and then he struggles once more so harumi goes in for a hug (not a kiss cause that would cause controversy) and then the other ninjas join in and he returns to his regular self off course breaking down and apologizing for what he has done and off course having Master Wu and Garmadon die for real this time and then they all clean up the monstary or something like that what do u think? i would have prefered it better if we got more Lloyd and Harumi interactions towards the end or having her apologizing to him, they said in Harumi's and Lloyd's ninjago wiki that the two did make up and reconciled but it was off screen i would have much better prefered it on screen rather than leave it up to interpretation. I think this is the type of ending most people probably would wanted cause the trailer made the season look like there would be consequences and endgame style so yeah and harumi and lloyd would make a deal with the commissioner that she would help with the monstary and then go to jail what do u think? therefore it is like a combination happy ending and angst what do u think?

i really hope she comes back though I feel like more people would want to know what happened to her as time goes on I do believe the controversy from Crystalized will die down and therefore want her back in the show. Tommy left the show and didn’t think Harumi is redeemable but Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke think otherwise so now that Tommy left they are the new head writers of the show and since they like Harumi so much they are know in charge so they can do what they feel is right for her character and do something that would hopfully make most of the fandom happy or satisfy towards the end in she does appear like seasons 4 and 5 cause we are only getting season 2 this year so if it is 1 season per year and imo by the time they get to it people might change their minds on Harumi and maybe more people would want her back then before people chance their minds all the time the backslash from Crystalized would have probably died down by then like if we have season 2 this year 2024
      season 3: 2025
      season 4: 2026
      season 5: 2027

They only brought back Harumi in Season 16, so Lloyd can have a girlfriend.
My reason I hate Harumi in Crystalized is the same as other people's reason of not liking Skylor. Hear me out!
In Season 4 Skylor was exploiting Kai's feelings and trying to manipulate him, then all of the sudden she has feelings for him. There was literally nothing that showed that Skylor had feelings for Kai too. The weiters just wanted to give Kai a girlfriend because all the other ninja had a love interest except Kai (and Lloyd) so this was the perfect oportunity to give him someone.
The same with Lloyd. He did not have a girlfriend (Akita doesn't count because she was forgotten after Season 11 just like Lloyd's character development) and they decided to bring back Harumi and give her feelings for Lloyd, and give Lloyd back the feelings for Harumi. JUST TO BE FORGOTTEN ABOUT 1 SEASON LATER!

I actually disagree with the Skylor statement. Skylor didn't really mention directly at first that she had feelings for Kai but it was heavily implied by her actions. She saw through her father, that he didn't care for her. He realized the Ninja are the actual good people who can make her feel at home. Not only that, Chen showed this trait of "using her" twice which makes it even more apparent. Whereas Kai was always there for him and they had time to bond.
Even if you disagree with this you have to note that when Chen was about to steal the final masters' powers Skylor explicitly asked that he doesn't lock up Kai, which clearly demonstrates her feelings towards him. The continuous bonding in Season 7 and Crystalized builds up on their relationship and bond more. (Oh goody it seems Crystalized did do something after all)

In my opinion i think Krux is a good villain together with his brother. Although i admit he does seem to be the grumpy old man sometimes and being against technolagy. But other than that he did plan ahead and prepared. Kidnapped Kai and Nya's parents, began the incubation and so on. And motive is yes power but i mean it was not unusual. Like with master of earth so did the time twins. Mainly being manipulated by Master Chen to turn on the other elemental masters.

He coulda been on the same level as Garmadon and Morro had the writers leaned more into the impact he had on Kai and Nya’s characters by taking away their parents… ofc better dialogue woulda also helped but it hurts when we see what we got vs what coulda been…

Separating Oni trilogy Harumi and Crystallized Harumi is kind of stupid. You know they are literally the same character. Crystallized Harumi wouldn't be a thing if OT Harumi didn't exist. Also OT did show us that Harumi still has some good inside her, witch could imply that deep down she had some feelings for Lloyd, she used to be a fan of ninja at the of the day. I agree her characterization was pretty weird, but you're acting like she was a completely different character in this season.

Harumi from crystallized definitely takes the cake. It’s not just that she’s bad, It’s that she used to be one of the shows best villains only for crystallized to ruin her. Also I think Vex is one of the worst villains in the show. He’s so forgettable that I don’t even remember He exists half the time. The mechanic also sucks

i guess controversy on Crystallized and her portrayal in Crystalized will never die....so....sad (sorry for the overdramatic but damn people really hate crystalized!!) i feel like i'm the only one who liked Crystalized and liked harumi being redeemed but yeah like everyone i totally agree IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DONE IN ONE EPISODE LET ALONG 30 SECONDS OR SOMETHING?????? it should have been through the course of the season and ep 17 Return to Prievel's eye was the perfect time to shine some light on this and have her begin that path of redemption i really really thought they were gonna do this but no...they didn't yeah i do agree she is a pretty controversial character especially her portrayal in Crystallized i mean i always thought that 50% of the fandom didn't like her and 50% of the fandom loved her that's what it looked like to me (thought the controversy of her portrayal in Crystalized would die down by now i mean it has been 2 years already!!!)
it would be sooo and such a shame for Harumi to be thrown out and forgotten about?!? i really want her too the writers have lots of planned writing ahead, but it would be nice to see her as a good guy in Dragons Rising if she were to return Like Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke really like Harumi apparently and they also see her as a broken villain and Doc Wyatt confirmed that harumi’s feelings for Lloyd were there but they are complicated and Tommy Andrason had a whole other view point and I am guessing that is what caused the clashing writing in Crystalized cause Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke wrote the better episodes where we see her looking guilty and wanted to redeem her you could tell they wanted to redeem her from the start but they were too many writers to have a good redemption arc but Tommy left the show and if they like her character soooo much wouldn’t that mean that they would be more willingly and likely to want to bring her back? i also liked how they tried to redeem her in Crystalized even though it could have been thought out better because she saved a family at the end of season 9 right before she died she and lloyd both looked at each other and harumi had this look of gulit in her eyes and even lloyd was shocked in that scene and soo upset that we went to go find her in the rumble to see if she was alright, when he said and we saw the flashback i was crying he loves her and cares for her soooo much. her redemption arc in Crystalized was not greatly executed they could have done better, i think they were trying to make her have a redemption arc and were trying to develop her character more and i liked that cause there were moments where u can just see deep down she didn't want to be evil she didn't tell Garmadon about lloyds location until he almost killed her and when she and lloyd both looked at each before she died she had a look of gulit regret and affection towards lloyd so i can understand why the writers tired to give her a redemption arc cause in the last moment she did something good and seemed to realise her mistakes if they would have just done 22min epsiodes it would have been good I really do believe it could have a really great redemption arc for Harumi, her redemption arc could have been better if it were for longer episodes and there were too many writers to make a good redemption arc, well at least they tried to that's a small thing i'm happy about that fact they actually thought of giving her redeeming her in the first place. Okay, the reason why I didn’t mind the Omega despite the lack of character is because the oni are a lot more like animals and just crave pure destruction. Sounds a bit like a cop out but I think it works fine. My main gripe with march of the Oni, was how short it was. Because hear me out: a show down between the omega and spinjitsu master Lloyd would’ve been cool. Doesn’t make much sense bc he has no way of accessing the golden power after giving it back to the ninja but still would’ve been cool.

Lets admit that Ninjago needs to focus less on romance because it is a topic Ninjago can't do right.
If u don't agree, here are the facts:
Jaya might be the best ship of the series (not mentioning dr), but it started out with Jay being a jerk to Kai in the Pilots.
Pixane though cute starting as the generic Love at first sight
Kailor (idk why this a ship) is also the generic love at first sight
Llorumi (ignoring Oni Trilogy because Harumi never liked Lloyd) is still a terrible ship, but making Harumi have romantic feelings are not right at all, plus still hurting Lloyd for no reason despite having feelings for him is disturbing and disgusting.
The only ship that is somewhat good is Lloykita, though it was never confirmed. Geode is also pretty good.
But the point is that if the sole purpose of the ship is to reduce a character to be nothing else but defined by that ship, then it shouldn't be a ship.
(I might come to edit after dr s2 part 2 gets officially aired on Netflix, as there is one more badly done ship)

Harumi: smiles, Lloyd returns it and Lloyd goes off the Destiny’s bounty with a newfound hope that maybe…just maybe Harumi can change.
do you like the ending i think people would have loved this episode cause this is probably what they were expecting after how the last one ended and the ending i am sure people would have loved that too what do you think? So that is how I would do 17, not much changes but I figured this might be the best way to go, she doesn’t go immediately to the side of good but has a better understanding of Lloyd and what she is doing she will turn to the good side but anyways what do u think? That is only for Return to Primevel’s eye! Lemme know what u think?

I would say that the Overlord is the worst villain. For most of these villains it is less of an issue that they are underdeveloped, because they are villains in inshorter installments. But the Overlord is the main villain of three seasons, two of which being finale seasons and some of the longest seasons, but he is still really underdeveloped. All he does is return in a contrived way with a new backstory that doesn't make sense and then get defeated in a either a nonsensical or a boring way.

After she saved that family you could tell by the look at her eyes, that she regretted it. THIS was her redemption and it was soo good. But then they just shoved it away. A MUCH better Storyline would be like this: Harumi started as a good Character ( even though we think she's bad ). She acted like she was bad, so the Crystal King wouldn't kill her. But after she somehow escapes, she tries to get Lloyds trust back. He doesn't trust. Even though she rescues her, he still doesn't believe her or is conflicted. The Hole in his Heart is just too big. But then she saves him while take the damage, wich cause him to believe her. He then finds smh a healer ( too bad Mistake's dead ) who tells him that it might be too late for her. But he don't want to give up on her. And somehow she survives ( but she almost died ). Something like that. Also Harumi doesn't love Lloyd. She hated him. She just regretted everything at the end and felt bad for Lloyd, that's what you mean by "complicated Feelings". I also hate that they got rid of Lloyds arc ( feelings towards her ).
Tommy Andrason said he wanted to leave all of the characters in a happy place cause he was leaving and therefore ninjago can start anew again as everything is at peace i can see where he is coming from i did like the happy ending although the other ending the original could have been really good as well lloyd taking the place of the Crystal King and having the ninja and harumi off course try to bring him back to normal having the ninja remind lloyd of the good times and harumi admitting her wrong doings and apologizes and how she cared for him but felt conflicted and that he is a good person and this is not him and lloyd can struggle and harumi adds on that he is strong and that he has always been strong and resilient everything she could not be but wants to try and become and how he is a real hero and then he struggles once more so harumi goes in for a hug (not a kiss cause that would cause controversy) and then the other ninjas join in and he returns to his regular self off course breaking down and apologizing for what he has done and off course having Master Wu and Garmadon die for real this time and then they all clean up the monstary or something like that what do u think? i would have prefered it better if we got more Lloyd and Harumi interactions towards the end or having her apologizing to him, they said in Harumi's and Lloyd's ninjago wiki that the two did make up and reconciled but it was off screen i would have much better prefered it on screen rather than leave it up to interpretation.

@@adenweiner5573 Well, the conversation isn't bad for someone who never wrote stories before. I like that Rumi gets slowly good ( although it would be a bad decision because of the Context ) and that Lloyd doesn't trust her at first. There are still some things that are strange, like that one book Lloyd pointed out. Where did that came from!? It was too random. Then Lloyd calls himself "a walking Trauma". You ( or any fan ) can call him like that, but a human would never call himself like that. It feels too unnatural. And how did Harumi didn't realize Pythor was the one indirectly killing her parents although Lloyd just told her that? I don't like it how he falls on his knees. His attitude to Harumi was shown in Season 8 and 9 ( after his arc with her ). He's more angry at her than sad. And i like it. Anger is another way to show saddnes. Especially boys tend to show sadness as anger ( not everyone tho ). So he should have stayed angry. In the cutted ending Lloyd would stay bad till the end of time, so i don't like it. The Version of your ending is very typical but i still like it and i had a similiar idea. But it should be the Ninja, who make Lloyd good again. Harumi feels bad for Lloyd but she doesn't love him enough to make this. She could help at first but she shouldn't be in the Spotlight. But overall it's pretty decent. It's of course better than what we got i the show and better than something a Wattpad/Fanfiction Writer would write ( their stories are just horrible💀 ) Btw: what do you think of my Version?

@@minitiger6169 well I do really like your ending too I like how Harumi get to help lloyd go back to normal in some way....i really hope she comes back though I feel like more people would want to know what happened to her as time goes on I do believe the controversy from Crystalized will die down and therefore want her back in the show. Tommy left the show and didn’t think Harumi is redeemable but Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke think otherwise so now that Tommy left they are the new head writers of the show and since they like Harumi so much they are know in charge so they can do what they feel is right for her character and do something that would hopfully make most of the fandom happy or satisfy towards the end in she does appear like seasons 4 and 5 cause we are only getting season 2 this year so if it is 1 season per year and imo by the time they get to it people might change their minds on Harumi and maybe more people would want her back then before people chance their minds all the time the backslash from Crystalized would have probably died down by then like if we have season 2 this year 2024

it would be nice to see Harumi as a good guy in Dragons Rising if she were to return Like Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke really like Harumi apparently and they also see her as a broken villain and Doc Wyatt confirmed that harumi’s feelings for Lloyd were there but they are complicated and Tommy Andrason had a whole other view point and I am guessing that is what caused the clashing writing in Crystalized cause Doc Wyatt and Kevin Burke wrote the better episodes where we see her looking guilty and wanted to redeem her you could tell they wanted to redeem her from the start but they were too many writers to have a good redemption arc but Tommy left the show and if they like her character soooo much wouldn’t that mean that they would be more willingly and likely to want to bring her back? i also liked how they tried to redeem her in Crystalized even though it could have been thought out better because she saved a family at the end of season 9 right before she died she and lloyd both looked at each other and harumi had this look of gulit in her eyes and even lloyd was shocked in that scene and soo upset that we went to go find her in the rumble to see if she was alright, when he said and we saw the flashback i was crying he loves her and cares for her soooo much. her redemption arc in Crystalized was not greatly executed they could have done better, i think they were trying to make her have a redemption arc and were trying to develop her character more and i liked that cause there were moments where u can just see deep down she didn't want to be evil she didn't tell Garmadon about lloyds location until he almost killed her and when she and lloyd both looked at each before she died she had a look of gulit regret and affection towards lloyd so i can understand why the writers tired to give her a redemption arc cause in the last moment she did something good and seemed to realise her mistakes if they would have just done 22min epsiodes it would have been good I really do believe it could have a really great redemption arc for Harumi, her redemption arc could have been better if it were for longer episodes and there were too many writers to make a good redemption arc, well at least they tried to that's a small thing i'm happy about that fact they actually thought of giving her redeeming her in the first place. I’m happy about that fact they actually thought of giving her redeeming her in the first place Tommy andrason described the writing of season 16 Crystalized was like a tug-of-war and that to me would make a lot of sense cause in one episode you would have Lloyd and Harumi hating each other and in another you would have them looking out for one another and caring for each other Like I think if it were up to them they would like I said the controversy probably did a lot of speaking and decision making for them but they did not say she is dead and there are a lot of other old characters that we have not seen yet

actualy i like her redempion arc for me as llorumi shipper was many moments when i was really happy in crystalized but the idea to make her evil again and vengestone buyer was awful i was expecting she will be like samurai x helping the ninjas and reveale her face at the end or midle of season or the same thing that hapend to morro in the day of departed and im realy sad that one my favorite characters in the series just desapear in the merge and have so much hate from the american fandom (in other fandoms the hate is not so big) and also they ruin pythor but there stil light of hope that one day she will return again and will be good person and together whith her lover
