  • The 180 Route Change is something I actually glad TfL did something good for this Route.
    180 Now Serves the Eastern End of Belvedere Industrial Estate which I believe is making a huge difference to workers as well as connecting Erith and its new Housing Estate.
    For Crabtree Manorway North Alight at Anderson Way and Dentons Wharf from New Bus Stop called Church Manorway.
    If Heading to Lewisham on the 180 and you are near Woolwich I recommend getting off at Woolwich Public Market and get either the 54 122, 178 or 380 instead of going all the way to North Greenwich as it will save you a lot of time and could get a extra Journey Squeezed in you never know.
    If Travelling to Cutty Sark Change at Woolwich Ferry and take 177 however it is getting pretty busy, 386 could take a while but if you want a quieter Journey or take 422 and change at Vanbrugh Hill for either 129, 286.
    For Stops Between Cutty Sark and Lewisham I recommend taking 422 From Woolwich and change at Vanbrugh Hill for 129 or 386 from Woolwich Market and changing at Greenwich Station for 129 and 199.

    Nice visual! I'm half and half on the 129/180 route changes. While it's good that the 180 got an extension to Erith I don't think it needed to be rerouted to North Greenwich especially now that it leaves part of Woolwich Road with only one route that goes to Greenwich. This could be corrected if we reroute the 161 to Greenwich Cutty Sark but idk if the 161 locals would be in favour of that. On the other hand the 129 change is great because now all the Lewisham to North Greenwich traffic won't get cramped onto the single decker 108's anymore, which is a horrible experience imo. In addition the 129 is (for now) slightly quicker than the 108 too. Overall I'm not upset about the changes but I can see why some ppl are.

      Actually the 108 is quicker because there’s always traffic in East Greenwich which the 129 hits, the 180 should have stayed Lewisham to Belvedere

      @@JayJay-nc7pr The journey times between them are very similar, just depends on how busy the routes are with passengers and traffic. I agree that the 180 should've stayed the same though.

    i only went on 472 to north Greenwich

    The 180 change is a huge mistake in my opinion, it’s now basically another 472 and breaks vital links, why would anyone in Erith need North Greenwich when Abbey Wood CrossRail is literally down the road

    • @ChingfordBuses97-CB97
      @ChingfordBuses97-CB97  Před 2 lety +1

      180 been extended not just for the people for Erith also for the new housing development at Erith Quarry. The extension links other industrial sites that never got a bus service before.

      @@ChingfordBuses97-CB97 extending the 472 could have achieved the same objective, you don’t understand that the 180 was a vital link to Greenwich & Lewisham from Belvedere, Thamesmead South & Abbey Wood, it also cuts the frequency in half along the busy bus corridor of Woolwich Road leave the packed 177 to take the load, nobody in the area was for this change for this reason, We don’t need another bus to North Greenwich, this change is utterly pointless and serves no purpose.
