The Last of Us was one of the best shows in 2023… also it was a really solid game… plus it’s a really low printed comic. First print was round 7k (only around 375 cgc graded). Book has a lot going for it.
The Ambassadors a GREAT story! You have to read Big Game where he brings all his characters together in an EPIC fight!

Not sure why Russ is saying Spider-Man 8 is first full of spider-boy. Spider-Man 7 is first appearance and first full.
I don't understand the hate for Romita Jr. I love the guy's art! For me, the downside of ASM is Zeb Wells' inconsistent writing and his handling of the supporting cast.

I bought the Ambassadors 1 9.8 for $26 in a Collector’s Comics auction.

I have the All Star Comics. I used to have the Batman Adventures 12, but sold it for $300 about 8 years ago.
Why can’t a book by hyped on the merit of the book itself in stead of being hyped because of a possible or actual option on the book. Merit should be the number one reason a book is sought after.
I did grab a raw All-Star Comics 58 for $40, it’s probably a 7.0
Besides beneath the trees the next one that going to sell well in my opinion is: Animal pound #1 which already first print sold out there have second prints out now

I bought All Star 38 for 3.25 bucks it's at best a 5.0 but low grade is better than no grade.

Romita Jr has always been a subpar artist, his X-Men run was just okay and his iron Man run was amazing because of Bob Layton. The new Spider-Man is horrid.
I am enjoying Zeb Wells Gang War but I must admit John Romita Jr. art is lackluster. I much prefer Ed McGuinnes taking over the art chores. John is a talented artist but I feel he is using a water down approach to his craft
Have not watched you guys in months so thought I would catch a video to see what is hype now. The answer I am hearing: nothing. New comics are not doing well and the heights of the back issue market were COVID and MCU hype driven. Really wish I had not gotten greedy and instead should have liquidated my entire collection back in 2021/22. Could have made sooo much money off of my 40 years of buying. I hope that things bounce back but judging by the current MCU and DCU results as well as what has been announced, I think we are years away from that and only if they start over. Same goes for the new comic market. I appreciate all of your work and enthusiasm though and if you guys are buying up all these "bargins" now, I hope you make out like a bandit. I am out though.
ASM 31 has a $9.99 cover price. I'm not the best at math, but if it's selling for $8.00.....that's not double the cover price...

Don't get me wrong, its a nice book, But Dollars to Donuts Taylor Swift will not, I repeat will not, be in Deadpool 3. The rumors about her are just that, rumors. Just because she was seen with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds means nothing. Blake and Taylor have been friends since 2015. I'm sure they've hung out in the past more than a few times and no one batted an eye. It was just the timing with the release of of an image of Hugh Jackman in the yellow costume that made everyone start speculating.
This list is proof spec is dead in 2024. This is great news for the sane collectors 😅
