AAC App Comparisons - Proloquo2Go, TouchChat and TD Snap

Important factors when choosing an AAC app - Customizability, robust vocabulary, easily accessible keyboard, user's learning/processing style, any visual or physical needs, and ability to grow with the user.
Note - in one comment I mention that TD Snap is not as customizable as the other two, recently I have seen some very custom versions of TD Snap. There may be a lot of work involved, but there are more possibilities than I noted.
I'm new to AAC and got the TD snap for my 9 year old, it's very good. The new motor plan 66 page set is very roboast and customizable too. In just 2 weeks he knows how to use it to ask for his food which makes me happy because for years we have been trying to get him to talk through different speech therapies and nothing worked. I know we still have a long way to go with AAC but I'm happy he can communicate through AAC.
I just wish i knew about it when he was much younger, anyways this is new to us in Africa 🌍.

I've actually found TD Snap to be one of the easiest to edit and most customisable. The new Motor Plan pagesets are great.

When you say that Pro2go you make one payment...do you mean that tdsnap you have to make payments to update? I'm deciding between those 2.

Do you recommend a kid using multiple AAC apps? Does Lilly use Proloquo2go and TouchChat or just PLQ? I'm just asking because we're wondering if we should expose our daughter to both.
Lilly uses Proloquo2Go - We have other apps and have offered them, but she still likes just her original app. I dont necessarily think children need multiple apps, but I know as they get older and they may wish to have different apps for different features. I know many adults that have multiple AAC apps. It varies by person and what they need. While someone is still learning language/communication, they need one really good, robust app with customizations, models, etc... but I dont think (just opinion) they need more until they are a very confident communicator. Know what I mean?

Both has a bunch of grid sizes you can pick or make you own and very easy to customize pages and buttons. Core can’t change by word type but can change all the buttons and even the colors of symbols and has more symbols. Core is more easy use 3 languages me has English Spanish and French and support more different languages. But P2G has translate pages.
Core is nice because each user can have different pages. Me and my cousin share so I like we not need change user, just press a button to go different page. You can sync with anybody! People can use the lite version to edit or even use for everything but not talk. The new lists are in order of most used but on pageset central you can get the old lists with 12000 words even words for scientists in abc order. Pageset central is my favorite! You can share with the whole community easy!
Core has a calculator and learning books and calendar and photo album and whiteboard and timer and first then charts and more. Topics are good for gestalt language learners. It has different kinds of pagesets like aphasia and text. You can use any color ever and have different size buttons. You can use every form of a word and even use prefix and suffix. It has videos and pathways to help you. I use both and think both same for robost and customize. I think core a little bit more easy to customize but P2G has some more words like characters and it work in Split View and on my phone and watch.
I like P2G custom by word type, and use expressions, use phonetic for how say words, and has asl folder. I like core has customize keyboard and can predict any word because I have trouble type. Core has more asl symbols and has high contrast. You can get the expressions from pageset central or make with the code from acapela.
One of way core more easy edit is you can draw a box to edit a bunch of buttons at same time. In P2G you need select 1 by 1 or all. And in core when selecting bunch you can edit actions of all at same time, in P2G if you select bunch you can edit colors but not actions. You need edit action 1 by 1.
