  • This isn't outright the world record. Dylen Baker got a higher score than me on PC. Here's a link to his run: • Snakeybus on PC (4227)...
As you can see throughout the video, the game gets very laggy whenever my bus faces the side of the map that has the massive coil of my lengths. This lag forced me to adjust the route I used in the following ways:
-For the field that's first seen from 0:13 to 0:18, I used to do a spiral that lasted at least 40 seconds and then jump towards the next part of the route. Once I experienced how bad the lag gets late in games, I abandoned taking up as much space as possible and used the field only as a landing space for the jump at 0:09 for subsequent games.
-From 1:41 to 1:55, I used to take paths that were closer to the holes in the map. Some paths included going between the houses at 1:40 and going straight instead of turning right at 1:43. Since I had a tendency to fall due to how hard the lag made it to turn accurately, I came up with the path used in the video to keep my distance from the holes and made sure other parts of this map's route (such as 0:20 to 0:28) accommodated this path.
Tips for the route used in this map:
-From 0:21 to 0:31, make sure to leave space on your right in order to leave room for other parts of this map's route. This is something to keep in mind for the early stages of the game when your bus isn't long enough yet to serve as a natural reminder.
-At 0:32, I skipped the drop off so that I can pick up more passengers and maximize my score. For this video, I wanted to see if I can get a length of 2500 (which is possible to reach from a length of 2150 as long I was able to drop off at least 2100 passengers).
-The three laps from 1:06 to 1:40 are important because along with taking up space, they kill enough time for your jump to be available for 1:56. Don't hit the gas because that would ruin the purpose of these laps. Have your bus face right while you're doing the lap on the panels to make sure you don't slip down and cut off the lap you need to do on top of the wall.
-The jump at 1:56 did not go as planned. Normally I land on the panels facing left, take a lap along the wall, and then do a wall ride down to the ground. When you're on the edge of the wall (either barely before the drop or the same time as the drop), drift while steering yourself towards the right to wall ride (this tip assumes the wall will be on your right side when you're on the ground). An example of a wall ride is at 1:29 (which admittedly could've been better since there was a little bit of a dip when I landed).
-Normally I drive in the other direction when I make the coil from 2:04 to 8:18. When I drive in the normal direction, I use the holes (which you see on my right at 8:08) as a reference to help with moving on to the next part of the route.
-Since I was driving in the opposite direction, I could no longer use the holes as a visual cue. What I did instead was first, I observed when my length was moving on to the next part of the route (my length can be seen moving on at 5:16 to 5:18). Then I numbered the pathways between the field crops (5:19 was one, 5:22 was two, 5:26 was three, and 5:29 was four) and repeatedly counted to four as I drove over each pathway. Finally after counting to four for the last time and when there was no more room to add to the coil, I did the u-turn at 8:18.
-I like to use the ramp on my right at 10:58 and the pathway I drive over at 11:00 as references to help with knowing where to jump to at 11:05.
-At 12:54 when you make the left u-turn, hold the brake and the drift the whole time to ensure the lag won't make you fall down the hole.
-My plan after making the final drop off at 12:58 was to do a spiraling path for as long as possible so that my length can extend to its entirety. I got lucky at 13:14 and the spiraling path was able to work out until 13:47. In hindsight, I could've taken a right turn at 14:00 to make more spirals instead of allowing the lag to lead me into the terrifying jump at 14:02. But it all worked out.

Amazing job, I think this level is super cool, might have potential for surpassing 3000 honestly which is insane, also you're right that lag was real

Thanks Dylen! Yeah I think this level is cool too. You might be right about having the potential for 3000. A couple ways to take up more space for that would be to drive in the field by the farmhouse more (which would be hard because of the lag) and do more laps inside spirals I did throughout this route. When it comes to doing more laps inside the spirals, something to keep in mind would be making sure you're still able to transition smoothly into the next parts of the route.

@@Mastah_Pete True, I can't believe that if you want to improve this score then you'd have to plan a route around how much lag you're going to have, also side note didn't know you could drive up there on the side, very nice
