The Lion King section needs a pool ! It would be great to have a pool like Timon Pumbaa and Simba have in the jungle.
I loved staying at this resort. We were supposed to be in The Little Mermaid section, but got upgraded to the Cars section. I can say from experience that the table bed is extremely comfy!
That's the same thing that happened to me and it's true the bed is comfy
Even though the deluxe resorts would be more fun (for me) to stay at, this would be the best resort to take little kids. I can't wait to see my own kids' reactions when I take them to this resort someday!
I would LOVE to stay here!!
One other thing at art of animation is that at night they have a small area where they have an outdoor movie theater (when the weather is good) for Disney movies.. usually animated movies
Staying here in August in a Cars suite! Our five year old will be so excited! (It's a surprise!)
I was just here, I stayed in the cars hotel and let me tell you. This place was a lifetime experience and definitely worth the money

:BONUS: Disneys art of animation wasn't art of animation before. It once was Pop Century's Phase 2 known as the Legendary Years. From the horrific disaster on September 11th 2001 it was everywhere and Disney soon had to stop Construction on the Legendary Years and left it out sitting there for years. Finally Disney had plans on doing the resort Disney didn't have a name before until they got it. Disneys Art of animation
I wish I would have stayed there during our last vacation. The resort sounds great!
I went in mid-July and it was my favorite! I stayed at the Nemo hotel and it was beyond amazing!

I want to work in Disney animation
I worked there last year. I it is nice when you get to see that place every day. I don't think I ever got tired of seeing Mufasa on Pride Rock each morning. :) It had its down sides like every job does too but the good far outweighed the bad in my opinion. I hope you guys get your chance to work there someday and experience it from the other side and have just as good of a time as I had working there.

I believe this was supposed to be another section of the Pop Century Resort, but was left abandoned after September 11th until last year when it became what it is today.
Also... The birds on those big poles... from time to time they say mine from finding nemo

When we stayed at Pop Century in 2010, we could see the buildings already constructed over the bridge from the resort. I seem to recall the bridge had the name of "Bridge of time" or something similar, which would have linked the two music themed resorts together. Whilst that never actually became a reality, I love the look and feel of the Art of Animation resort. Maybe we will stay there next time.

Stayed at the little mermaid wing and unfortunately had to walk what felt like a mile to the bus stop everyday :(
Disney has to improve its existing Value Resorts and offer more and better perks and service. The new Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort offers a 10-lane-bowling alley, 3-part bathrooms, free fitness club, pool slides and a lazy river! Are the fridges back in all Disney resorts?

I was here for my birthday this year we stayed in the Nemo area it's an AWESOME hotel
***** there's really cool gifts that can be ordered for your room they were really awesome here and really extended that extra Disney magic
Hope to stay here one of these ole days. I'm surprised they are using real cutlery. I rather do he disposable. Only because it cuts downs on germs significantly. This will be an issue for me and my family. We'll see.

They didn't say that there was gonna be a legendary years resort where the art of animation is

So There Was A Legendary Years Hotel There But Legendary Years Was Left To Rot After 9/11 And Yes It Was Unfinshed.
they never finished it, until 2012.

You forgot the most important fact: that it almost never existed! If Pop Century would have finished construction, Art of Animation would never have been built.
They stopped construction of the legendary years after 9/11 attacks. Over the time different ideas came to the table and they decided to change it instead of being a mirror of POP ceblntury, they have suites there, they decided to change the theme into Pixar.
+Gillian Jordan I read somewhere also (not sure if it's 100% true) that seeing the success of the Nickelodeon hotel they decided to make it similar themed where children would be a lot more interested.
