I grew up starting back when SNL was brand new and had all the famous giants like John Belushi and Gilda Radner... There was another great era when I was in college. They had Phil Hartman and Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey.
And you're expecting me to say it's gone downhill the way a lot of people older than 30 seem to do, but I won't because it hasn't. The recent cast is amazing! I love the stuff I've seen lately and some of the hosts have been absolutely awe-inspiring. Adam Driver kills it every time. Seriously, bring him back. J-lo was great. Adele. Regé-Jean Page had some of the funniest skits in a long time. So did Emma Stone (holy crap she's funny). Even Elon Musk wasn't too bad in every skit, lol. I wish Jason Momoa had been better but he was so starstruck that he was hopeless.
I love your history as a fan of the show! And I totally agree that the current cast is amazing (though a few of the newbies havenât had a chance to shine yet). The old guard in the 70âs and 90âs had some epic sketches ... check out my âiconic momentsâ vid ... I think youâll like it! Thanks for the amazing insight Bee!
