It's an experimental unscripted video regarding the topic of the title. Hey, I've got some stuff: derritterarts.carrd.co/#comics #art #videoessay #listenable #personalexperience #unscripted
Thank you for making this video, and sharing your thoughts in this format. I really enjoyed listening to your words as I was drawing, and thinking about meaningful art with you, and my search for meaning through art. Recently I've been having a bit of trouble enjoying the process and have been trying to do anything I can to fall back in love with it. I am blessed to have embarked on meaningful projects and to have those readily available to invest my time into, but I also respect the importance of sketching with no pressure or end goal. I was drawing a picture for my girlfriend (of us and my cat) as I listened to your video, and I can't really describe what happened any other way than by saying that I got very deeply into the flow state and enjoyed that drawing session in a way in which I haven't in a long time. Thank you again for your video, and for sharing your personal experience and thoughts - Isaac
I think doing art is part of being human. And copying as part of practice is something that helps increase skills. Art matters because it's something we do. That said, art from imagination and art from reality are two different skills. They help each other - there is no shame in using references. I made art as a kid I called "Illality", illusion and reality. I think your art will keep improving! Make it for you! Thank you for sharing. This is a rambling comment, for your rambling video. Thank you again.
