    Very nice video! Thanks for sharing! Is there a way to make the edges of the laminate look a little bit "cleaner" and not stick over the edge of the wood?
    Thanks 😊

      I have used a nail file and nail buffer to smooth out the edges.

      You should be able to. The tools may be arranged a bit difficulty but it's basically alignment. Glad you enjoyed the video. I just posted one a couple of days ago about sublimation on metal that may interest you.

    Hi, Thank you for your great videos!! I have a few questions about photoshop is there a way for me to directly ask? It would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to the crafting with sublimation and trying to find a program that I can correctly size photo's to put on canvas (that I learned from watching your video, what was amazing!)

      Hi Dawn, have you watched my video on how to sublimate on Canvas? I explain how to resize a photo in photoshop, here's the link: czcams.com/video/JIpVfo_i164/video.html
      If hat doesn't answer your question just post in this thread and I'll try to help you.

      @@PoppyHillDesigns Hi, I have watched that video numerous times, everytime I change my size (as you did) it makes it huge on my screen and prints between 5x7 and 8x10. Im using photoshop 2021...but im wondering if im not using it correctly? I LOVE LOVE LOVE all your videos, but espcially the canvas as I have lots of pictures I would love to put on canvas, as I feel its so much better then framss!! I so appreciate your willingness to help!! Dawn

    So basically what I understand from few videos so far is that I need laminating Pouches (any I found?) wrap, the wood product and then sublimate on it?

    • @PoppyHillDesigns
      @PoppyHillDesigns  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, you'll need the Thermal laminating pouches, NOT the self stick. Use your heat press to adhere the laminate to the wood, let cool, trim, then sublimate your image onto the laminate.

    My wood keeps bowing and I get bubbles in the laminate can you help please x

    • @PoppyHillDesigns
      @PoppyHillDesigns  Před 3 lety +2

      Try pre pressing the wood, both sides to get rid of any moisture. Make sure you are using enough pressure. You can try pressing the bowed project face down for 10 seconds and placing something heavy on it while it while it cools.

    What grammage of sublimation paper and laminating pouches used?

    • @PoppyHillDesigns
      @PoppyHillDesigns  Před 3 lety

      Hi Robert. I used the 3M lamination pouches - 3mil, and the ASub paper 125g. Both are linked in the description box below the video.

    why was the "to" faded or was that the light ?

    • @PoppyHillDesigns
      @PoppyHillDesigns  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, the "to" is a little faded due to the wood not being completely flat. Next time I'll use a pressing pillow to see if that will resolve the issue.

      @@PoppyHillDesigns hi. Is the 3M pouches better than all the other brands as I struggle with what seems like delamination or bubbles on small areas i ordered 3m pouches as last resort

    • @PoppyHillDesigns
      @PoppyHillDesigns  Před 2 lety

      @@pietpompiepompiepiet940 I've only ever used the 3M brand so I can't answer that question. Most of the wood blanks are not completely flat so pressure is very important in getting good adhesion. Hope that helps.

    Are the prints waterproof?

    • @PoppyHillDesigns
      @PoppyHillDesigns  Před 3 lety

      You can wipe the laminate part with a damp cloth, but the rest of the wood is not sealed or protected so I'd say no.
