Noob Trucker in the UK, bringing other new drivers the heads up on what its really like as a new driver. Milti drop and otherwise.I have been driving commercially for one year now and my vlogs are here to show you what driving a HGV the the UK is really like, I don't delete the bad bits its all raw and as it happens.

Ahh yes building sites. Need deliveries from big vehicles but don't make the area big enough.
If only they used what3words when delivering at sites to enable better locating them.
Why does companies not put a proper address on delivery notes especially for these new building sites. Amazing also how many of these builders merchants yards and new build housing estates do not seem to cater for the HGV,s that have to deliver to them. Stay safe and take care.

If you touch the Kirby they throw there toys out of the pram
Would be nice to see the reverse angle whilst you go backwards. Maybe invest in an extra camera.
it would be cool but the logistic are not that easy. need to keep its barely charged and remotely trigger it, not sure how far bluetooth will go but also the security of it and maybe forgetting when i change trailer. I also just spent another 580 0n new kit

I’m the same as you at the moment keep stalling, just started a part time job in retirement, driving a manual bus, left leg is not keen!😂haven’t driven a manual in years!!! Why would you! Don't do building sites anymore. fed up of moving the fencing all the time. Nice and calm Jay, only way to be when it gets tight.

Hi Jay, don't worry about fluffing up the gears in that 3 over 3, our usual dustcart driver does the same thing in our dustcart and he's been driving for years, have a good week
Those new build sites can be very tight with barriers everywhere 🙄
Oh I remember the days delivering to building sites did it for 3 years then had enough....just wait till you are reversing round a dog leg because there's no room to turn round you'll definitely get reverses for 400 500 yards where you literally got 2 inch either side just like the corner you drove round with the fences on either side.Until theses sites get developed they shockingly tight sometimes

I can’t believe that in 2022 we are still making the same mistakes / making it hard for drivers,that were made 20 years ago.

I suspect that place you were trying to get breakfast from has a licence from 6am. Frustrating but the one time they do it they'll probably get caught.

No breakfast for you! Unfortunately it was probably due to their licence to trade starting from 6am, and they can face fines or lose their licence for breaking the terms. I've stopped somewhere before just to get a coffee and was told they couldnt sell me one but they gave me one for free.

It’s a joke how nobody comes to help the driver on sites anymore, just to move the fence or whatever and watch you in etc, nobody gives a shit anymore.
You’re having same problems as Luke on finding the correct building site.
