What a great conversion. I grew up on the c64, that was my playstation as a child. It had all the best games, good graphics and great music. What a system.
This dude's so good that he never even shows the purple henchmen dudes grabbing you, or my personal favorite -- ducking too soon and having a dwarf try to somersault onto your head.
Could never complete it . Most games on the commodore where Impossible to complete. When i got my Sega most games where so easy to finish. Only Alex kid and Rambo came close in my opinion
I never owned a C64 but I remember we had one at school and sometimes we were allowed to play and this was one of the games we played a lot in that time. Seeing this video brings back memories.
So much nostalgia …. C64 was and still is my favorite and also A500 I remember Kung Fu Master, the music is perfect, I remember rock n roll wrestling , 80 days around the world , all Summer Games from Epyx , Last Ninja and the list goes on and on . My childhood memories are connected with C64 and before that with Colecovision , time stops in Amiga 500!!!! The rest are history not so important for me
For the 3 years I played this game when I was a teen, with my two brothers, we never figured out how to kill the last boss. Now I see we weren't so far away from it. I think it was the flying kick which wasn't obvious.
Yep - I got to the final boss repeatedly and threw an onslaught of kicks and punches at him, but nothing ever worked. I just assumed there was a bug in the game!😂
Goddammit, I didn't remember there were so MANY of them... I've been watching dozens of longplays now and still I get this "Oh, I remember this", "Oh, I used to play this for hours and hours", "Oh, this was one of our favourites actually" all the time! LOL
I played the crap out of this back on the 80s. I still even have my original disk. I got to where it was easy to get to the last boss but I can't remember if I ever beat him.
as bad as i was at this game (and worse at the table top arcade version), i loved it. really struggled to play it on the c64, apart from level 1, where if you clicked shift-lock, you had more powerful kung-fu courtesy of a gun, instead of punches and kicks. great little cheat.
Pretty sure I never beat level 4. Also, I appreciate now how you are walking back and forth going up in a building, and not just going up or down in the same direction forever.
Somehow it was never that easy for me. I rarely made it all the way to the final boss, can’t recall if I ever beat him. But what the heck on level 4, you can just walk past all the bees? Was the arcade version this easy? I barely remember getting past level 1 in the arcade.
Kunf-Fu Master was my first Arcade game i ever played, in a restaurant 2 steps from my home, and i loved it. I was like 12 or so, and i got it on my C64 when i was 14. What a deception !! The C64 version vas soooo bad ! Heck i remember trying to redoo it myself, and i already had the scrolling done for the first floor, wrote it full in assembler, but finnaly never got to finish it, switched my C64 for an Amiga 500 … Really a bad game on C64 for me, despite what some others in the comments said.
My father bought this game to me,i run to my c64 and when i try turned it on,i discovered that it doesn´t(NOOOOOOOOOO)...2 months until given back my c64 repared.
Yes, the 2 magician potion-throwing hunchbacks, end-of-level 4 (iirc). If you kick, heads fall off, but energybar doesn't decrease. So they keep the party goin'...
Just the noises alone are enough to give me those nostalgia feels. Damn, I remember playing this.
So many memories! My first C64 game ever. The dwarves are very funny!
dwarves grab you in a 'funny' way
They molest you 😯
Great game. Never beat the last boss. Thanks for showing me the ending.
Oh my - the memories lol classic

Which you can counter by simply standing up. XD
This was really hard! Amazing that someone can play it through just like nothing :)
Maybe the only C64 game I ever completed lol, difficult meant difficult/impossible back then!
Could never complete it .
Most games on the commodore where Impossible to complete.

I never beat the final boss ;)

Yes it looks like its very hard to weaken the last Boss.
Loved this game. I had a bootleg copy that always glitched out but it was a blast.
One of my all time faves
Love the gnomes and the Giant. The lil fire spittin dragon too.
change speed to 1.25 to make the music tempo closer to the arcade/nes versions
Now they do on iPhone
This dude playing the game is NICE
oh the good old days
Very nice, what a great game in those days.
Loved this back in the day
loved this game so much
Omg the memories! Classic
Yeahh ... such a great game for this time !!
The NES version of this game was one of the launch titles for the console.
Loved the music on this! Would have it blaring out of the tiny speaker on my 14” CRT TV.
I perfectly remember this game on my C64. The boss of the 5th level was almost impossible to beat for me. I think I succedeed only 1 time.
My god i was so jealous of this game. Unfortunately i had the zx spectrum version which was fecking ghastly!
Christ this brings back memories.
well played!
nice vid :)

stamping those stairs :D
Love this game
Honestly not a bad version of this game considering the c64s limitations!
Kung Fu Master on the C64 is an excellent source of sweet chin music.
Cool thanks 👍
Music took me right back. But I swear the one I played if a bad guy so much as walked in to you, or you them, you were toast. 🤷♂️
Wait that’s it? Just 5 levels? We want 10! And I can’t remember if I beat this game or not. Used to LOVE to play it tho.
You only get more levels via DLC 😜

I loved this game, it was so hard....
The Speccy version was just dire.
Almost forgot about those little guys!
That giant would mostly kill me
Hard game as usual...
pro player! XD very good Schmu!
Wow, flashbacks.
Memories...
This is the very 1st Commodore 64 game I ever saw and played. I had forgotten how it looked ..
Nice sound when he walks up the stairs 😆
Great port of the arcade. Beat the hell out of my speccy version.
You make this look so easy, i remember this being a bastard when i was younger, although i was like 8 at the time ;p
Pretty sure I never beat level 4. Also, I appreciate now how you are walking back and forth going up in a building, and not just going up or down in the same direction forever.
Hold down shift and tap "G" while working your way left
stara dobra gierka na c64.
One of the few games I could actually play on the C64. The rest ......notoriously tough games.
was the game really just 5 levels... wow this was hard as shit... got to level 2 i think
Look at the size of the pixels on that boss! Lol.
There is: when enemies and obstacles are too much close to you, you can't kick them. ;-)
If you double check, it does at the end of the third floor.
Great gameplay. If I remember correctly, I think I couldn't beat level 2. This game is hard.
My childhood
quanti ricordi❣️
beautiful game remember that if you pressed the button "restore" the game crashed
I did that many times. Then I would list it and see the sys ####.
In C64, Silvia is more beautiful than on the arcade version
Having to press space bar to switch between punches and kicks is a bit annoying IMO.
I always thought those guys in the purple and black that you fight at the beginning were the Frankenstein monster(s).
I played this game for years and never knew you can punch?
I like this version better than the one on the NES.
cool game

Anyone know who was the composer on the C64 version?
Just found this for me 64, lol , in a pile on games ;-)
Somehow it was never that easy for me. I rarely made it all the way to the final boss, can’t recall if I ever beat him. But what the heck on level 4, you can just walk past all the bees? Was the arcade version this easy? I barely remember getting past level 1 in the arcade.
So simple but playability was great, obviously graphics don’t compare to todays games but something about the simplicity is cool
what happend to Der Schmu??... his last upload was 6 years ago..
Kunf-Fu Master was my first Arcade game i ever played, in a restaurant 2 steps from my home, and i loved it. I was like 12 or so, and i got it on my C64 when i was 14. What a deception !! 2:35 - its a freaky giant! its David vs Goliath.
i thought his gonna kick that chick in the end :D btw great game! i used to play this and many other c128 games when i was about 3-7 years old :D
Best c64 game ever apart from Ghostbusters..pole position..groggs revenge..and sensible soccer
Also the Amiga palette and resolutions are completely different,it uses bobs not sprites and none of its games has that high framerate. ;-)
It doesn't have any good Amiga 500 conversion? This could be a killer in AGA 32-bit too.. Hoping to be picked up by the remakers geniuses.
Other version is Spartan X of Nes.
Who else here is now 38 years old lol
Toute mon enfance 😂😂😂
So cool. Haven't seen this stuff for 30 years,
How do u switch between punches and kicks?
press the space bar
They got the last boss dressed like Bruce Lee from the Game of Death which is what this game was based off of.
My father bought this game to me,i run to my c64 and when i try turned it on,i discovered that it doesn´t(NOOOOOOOOOO)...2 months until given back my c64 repared.
this was a little creepy when he goes up the stairs his upper body dissappear
Today you get 50-60 hrs. or even much more of one game. 5 mins seems short ;)
What happen to the laugh?
3:03 bees, my god.
Damn. Our hero has a really bad posture.
The Level 3 boss is blond and caucasian in this version...in the arcade, he's black and bald.
2:35 Not your typical man opponent! lol
This game is a little like Karateka.
is there any reason to punch in this game? I don't think so...
Yes, the 2 magician potion-throwing hunchbacks, end-of-level 4 (iirc). If you kick, heads fall off, but energybar doesn't decrease. So they keep the party goin'...
2:35 was hiliarous...
2:34 Big blonde dude.
Mike and Bootsy brought me here!
I remember there was a code mayme a poke commando? that you draw a GUN
Shift+F ? Maybe only on certain level(s) ..
I never Got past The last boss
