I find in pipeline (underground) facility design, sometimes Isolation kits are used and sometimes not in the riser site. When do we need it and when not? Thanks for your clarification. Riton
Isolation kits are normally used to prevent the cathodic protection current leaking to your critical equipment such as flow meters etc. The flow meter (specially electro magnetic) reading will deviate if CP current start passing through it.
