About this video: Only 8km from Kurseong lies the Chimney village which is above 7200 feet above sea level. In this video, we have explored the Chimney heritage garden, inside an old Dak bungalow, built in 1839 by the Britishers. Originally used by the British soldiers as a haven during the First World War, this bungalow resembles Colonial times and is one of the finest heritages of North Bengal.
The village is named after the famous chimney which is as high as 23 feet.
