Retrieved scenes of Alford Business

A wee selection of old footage including my grandfather's business, James A Gordon & sons, trips up the west coast and scenes from Alford's past. Paul Anderson's brilliant fiddle music features in the soundtrack (many thanks to him for permission to use it).

Used to go to the “Gordon’s of Alford” bus which was parked outside the Pool House Hotel in Poolewe and bought bucket and spades for the beach at Inverasdale during the early 1970s . Also went along with mum and dad to the show at Aultbea Hall as well . Happy memories !

Loved finding this old footage of Alford, I own the wee @Evelyntreasurefider2 store on the Main Street now and absolutely love this great Village. People are so welcoming and friendly and it is good to see the area thriving commercially one more.

I’m an owner of one of those old Gordon’s of Alford mobile shops now! 🙂 NSA 164 1957 Albion Cairn, it was the General Merchant and House Furnishers van
