What a great topic. As relatively new in the Harley-Davidson world I am amazed at the complainers. In their eyes HD can’t do anything right. I wonder if they even own a Harley-Davidson or think motorcycles should be still $5000. I have really started to filter the CZcams channels I watch on Harley-Davidson. We love the motor company and what they do.
So I was a skeptic yesterday. Today I had the chance to see them with my own eyes. I’m impressed. I still feel the CVO could use a few more upgrades for $45k-$50k. But I feel this year was a leap in the right direction. Great video!!

I love them and will be buying a RG next year. I think 26,000 is a great price for new design AND a 117 engine. New shocks ,new saddle bags. Water antifreeze Cooling heads ...come on, whats not to love. I think HD will come out next year or the next with a RG SG special which will include VVT, painted inner fairing, in inverted forks and price them at 30,000
In Europe prices are much higher.. If we had similar prices, we would be satisfied. So, of course we're gonna complain. Road Glide Special 2024 : Starting prices: 34,000 - 36820 usa dollars !! CVO Road Glide ST : 51850 !! Now compare it with USA msrp...
Maybe because later, all engines will have the new VVT technology. Is new technology for them & for the first years need to see how reliable they're... They can't incorporate at once in all engines from first year...
Well, the VVT has been around for a couple years now in the sportster and Pan America line ups. From the research, I believe these motors are going to do fine. Happy to see the MoCo coming into modern times with the tech and the performance.
VVTI in push rods is new for Harley-Davidson & as you saw they incorporate it, in very different way. Hasn't any similarity with the new watercooled engines from Panamerica, sportster. Its totally different engines & technology.

Because they are not going to manufacturer thousands of different timming cover. If it's a VVT then they will put VVT stamp on. Simple
