The Guess Who and BTO rank among two of the finest bands from the late 60s/ 70s and it's unbelievable that Randy Bachman is not honored by being inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There is not another musician who deserves it more!

R&R HOF is a sagging billboard for the schlock Rolling Stone mag pushes as real music. Taylor Swift is going to be inducted in a few years. Rap, artists that had nothing to do with R&R history and people actually now hungering for some plastic new wave 80's bands getting inducted over anything the R&R HOshame has and will induct in the future. Fu[k em'

Been a big fan of Randy's since I was just a young kid......In 1995 in a local music festival in Chicago suburbs I stood in front of Randy while on stage.....got my fill of music....got sick of the crowd and had to leave... it was good while it lasted....I wish Randy the best of everything now and forever.....

I live in Australia. I would love to meet Randy, but not much show of that happening. The Guess Who and BTO were the biggest things in my life musically for so many years, and even now, I obsess with The Guess Who's music. Very weird how that happens, but the most delightful thing.

    • @isthereanybodyoutthere9397

Randy spoke about putting the violin down after hearing Elvis Pressley, which mirrors me a little in that I started to learn the recorder at age 6 and graduated onto the clarinet, but at the age of 13 I got into pop and rock after years of classical music (which I still love). The beautiful irony is that the song that made my mind up was You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet and partly (along with Pink Floyd in Paris in 1994) made me want to play guitar, which I do to this day. PF are my main listen, but I will always, aways listen to anything Randy is or has been involved in, and would similarly be humbled if I ever got the chance to meet him.

I love this guy. The stories never get old. I happened to catch his "Every Song Tells A Story" on TUBI TV, about a year ago, I didn't even know he was part of the Guess Who, those songs brought back memories of when I was about 13 or 14, and I have quite a story from that time. I now watch lots of Randy's interviews when I can, like this one. God Bless Randy and his family.

I've had the opportunity to meet Randy on several occasions over the years. He is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Always has time to say hello and to tell a story or two. He and Fred played in Ashland, KY a few years back for our July 4th Summer Motion festival. I ran into him at the hotel that he and the band were staying. We left to go to the show at the same time. The venue had sent two vans over to pick the guys up at the hotel. I was going to walk the four blocks, when Randy said, "Hey, there's room in the van. Ride over with me." I loved the look I got from everyone sitting in the V.I.P. section as they saw me exiting the van with Randy Bachman.

COVID disrupted my only chance to see Randy with Burton in Minnesota. Twice. Saw the Guess Who w/o Randy in 1974 and then saw Burton around 2015 but never RB. Seems so genuine a fellow. And the snubbing of both bands by the Rock Hall is a travesty. Good luck, Randy!

In 1978-79 Randy drove down to Tacoma Washington from his home White Rock. He spent the evening with a bunch of Dopey kids at a church in the Relief Society room, I was one of those kids. There couldn't have been more than 30 of us. Such a kind and giving man. After he spoke to us he spent a little time chatting and eating refreshments. He seems to be the same Randy today as he was then. I always loved his music but because of that night night with us kids and his generosity of time we love him more!❤❤❤

''Not in Rock n' Roll Hall of fame'',
who needs it, certainly not Randy,
he's way above all that. They would
have to throw out dozens of 'who cares'
artists to make room for Randy's talents
    and accomplishments, and contributions
    to classic rock.

This is why , if you have kids, they are young and they are interested in a musical instrument and it’s annoying you because you are trying to watch tv…. Don’t be selfish,, you might have another Randy Bachman in the family…encourage them to play.. be involved, buy them better instruments… and other equipment… it might payoff

Beast of a guitar player. Glad to see you still kicking. Also produced many other albums for other stars. Guess who could have been much greater but i dont think Randy's and Bertons styles meshed. Berton knocked out so many pop hits and Randy's had a very loud hard edge. It was destiny for them to split. I really liked BTO! There's a CZcams video of them playing a concert in a prison. It's a 4 song clip that shows just how good these boys were. Including a blazing rendition of 4 wheel drive! Video quality isn't very good but the sound is great. I can't find the whole concert, just the one clip. It's worth the search! And it's the hall of shame not fame!

I honestly have to confess to my disparaging view of the Mormon cult, but in Randy's case? He's the only exception to the entire disgusting idea that he is in the tribe of believers.
