Fell into a nasty depressive episode while making this, so it took an eternity to finish it lol. I‘m better now!
As you may notice, i tried narrating it a little bit - i hope you like it. Feel hugged :)

The narrating has turned it into an ASMR video, very relaxing. Choice of music was spot on and the end result looks great. I'll be honest, i watched the first 2 mins, then skipped to the end because i was late for work, i will watch it all when i finish at 5am.

It is difficult to be creative when you are depressed. I'm glad that you managed to complete the booknook. It looks great. I love how you came up with adding the pipe to correct an oversight.

I really like the booknook. You showed that using inexpensive materials doesn't matter when you are being creative. You don't need expensive materials to make things. Its your talent and the time you take that determines the outcome. Some people think that the more expensive materials, the better your project will look. I watched a person demonstrate some paints by comparing them to a cheaper brand. He didn't take the time to prime the canvas for the inexpensive paints. He did a rush job with the cheaper paints while taking a lot more time and care with the expensive paints. He made the cheap paint look bad because he was selling the expensive paints. If I hadn't seen him working on the painting, I wouldn't have known that the difference in the paintings was because of his technique and not the paints.

      @demondogmom7221 Před 10 měsíci +2

What matters with paint is the amount of "color" versus the amount of filler. More filler results in less saturation.

The book nook is awesome, and so is the video - from editing over music to narrating! And thanks for also including the less happy parts of creating, it's great to be reminded that it does not have to always be easy! Great work and I hope you're doing fine! Have a nice holiday! :)

I know exactly what you mean, my workroom is very small with lots of stuff!! I work myself into a small portion of my desk, surrounded by drawers, materials and wood. Still I get done what I need to do. I really enjoyed your video, I wanted one of those book nook kits but they're so expensive, so your idea is great. Thanks. Happy Christmas and healthy New year xxx

Your videos are unique because you put your emotions into the miniatures you make and not the way you record. the process. I am so sad you were feeling depressed, you are very good at this and I hope sharing your feelings with us helps you.
No, I do not think it is weird that you examine old buildings to see what makes them look old. That's an artist observing.
Like @WicklePick below, I subscribed just as you took a long break. I am really pleased to see you making videos again; I am very glad to see you back.
I like your narration and your English is very good indeed. Also, where it is not perfect, your accent is charming. Please keep doing it; well done. Keep making videos like this and I am certain your channel will grow and prosper.

The ending shot was so relatable and I absolutely loved it. Thank you for all the information and tips you gave along the way, I absolutely love how the booknook turned out. Thank you for the tip on the static grass, it's the most believable grass I've ever seen! Two things to pass along since you've taught me so much, to get the bricks to look diverse under paint them in shades of yellow, orange, green, brown, and then paint over that with a rusty red color. It'll add a lot of dimension to the bricks. Also, dryer lint mixed with acrylic paint makes great moss!

I relly like your videos (while I skip others) and there are some reasons for it. First, your skills ! Then, the atmosphere you give to your video, and your simple explnations. And you seem to know when it's time to accelerate or come back to nrmal speed. The sum is simply great ! Sorry for your blue period. Hope you're better.
And you cleaned your desk ! Bright !!!
As for the tape which showed at last... Just another trick of the Fairies (they like it) and ther must be many of them around... Of course we are not alone here, and we send you big hugs ! Hope you feel it. Take care of you, sleep well and enough ( thanks for the German lesson 😉 ) Go on, Lady.

Your desk looks just like mine 😂 Working currently on my own Diagon Alley, going slow, slower than usual because it’s a commissioned piece, figuring out stuff as I’m going. Always enjoying your videos. Was going to use a mirror but then didn’t like the layout. So now it’s a straight shot and the distance will be painted, probably the bank. Second guessing my choice of dropping the mirror. Ah the pains 😅😂

I liked your narration and the music was mellow, which I appreciate. I learned about a number of products that I will look for here in the USA. Currently I am building and customizing the book nook "Eternal Bookstore." I was thinking about trying a HP theme nook next. I turned Eternal Bookstore into a roombox halfway through making it, and decided it would be a secret library inside Pemberley, from Pride and Prejudice. I read a series of Pride and Prejudice variations that included magic and had Mary Bennet be the main character with the magic talents. That might be a good way to combine my love for Jane Austen and my love for magic... thanks for the video. Ps the green lights turned out well! I did the same in my Georgian Christmas roombox -painted the fairy lights red, orange and yellow, for the fireplace. My workspace also looks like yours. I have adhd. I think your workspace is actually neater than mine LOL
