    I stopped eating out of the river 25 years ago.

      I’ve eaten some out of certain areas and was great but def won’t keep any near the port or the main causeway in Titusville. There is just for sport.

      Why not? Just relocated back to FL. I would think the area near ports or inlet would be clean since there is flow from the ocean.

      @@jsupp2240 Titusville has had septic issues for years now. It’s getting better but some people don’t trust it. And I’ll eat out of the port but sometimes a little cautious in certain areas due to oil and fuel in the water

    Just found your channel in the last few weeks. Currently trying to sell our house in Louisiana and move back to Florida. Hopefully I’ll see you on the water once we’re over there

    Just found you while doing some research about the Indian River. Heading down there next month and I’m hoping to have some luck catching snapper.

      I wasn’t around then lol but I heard great things. I do know it has gotten a lot better over the past three years. Starting to see a lot more grass on the flats and schooling fish.

    Good video man, just found your channel. Just started saltwater fishing and suck! Bout all I can catch is those stinking catfish...

      You’ll get better at it I promise. Try using light tackle around structure with live bait.

    So what did you end up using for bait if you didn’t catch any?

    • @fishingwithcritter
      @fishingwithcritter  Před rokem +2

      I was using frozen shrimp in the beginning but also had stopped at the bait store and got live shrimp as well. They seemed to be eating both the same

    What size hook do you use for mangroves

    Poopoo water

    • @JohnsonJLB
      @JohnsonJLB Před rokem +2

      Quite literally. Titusville city dumps millions of gallons of raw sewage into the lagoon and is pushing back on stopping that or cleaning it up.

      @@JohnsonJLB I'm starting to wonder if the plant a mile or two north is at fault. Whenever I put my boat in next to that plant it smells AWFUL and I see stuff bubbling up.
