e.g. lets say we need to find the word America but with 0.3 value and California with 0.5. Is there a way to do so?

This video is very interesting. Can I find similar text within a column? For example I wouldn't want a column to contain cells which are quite similar to each other. How can I find the similar ones? The duplicate function misses the point.

Great solution! Using it to compare similar values for taxonomies! Thank you! Quick Question: Is there a way to alter the script to pull ALL like values? Not just singular exact matches? For example: Comparing a term like Apple to a list that might contain Apple, Apple Pie, Apple Turnover, Oranges, Bananas. The result in the cell would contain not just Apple, but also display all other words containing Apple. Thank you!!! This could save a taxonomist many many hours!

Not without a middle service. You basically have to setup a network access to your printer though the internet and then use apps script to trigger that endpoint.

I'm not sure what you mean by others. Once you set it all up in your spreadsheet, other users of the same spreadsheet won't need to download and install the script.

This is fantastic and I have been using it for the past 3 days. Today however, it has stopped working. No change to data. I keep getting this error "Internal error executing the custom function.".
What i tried:
-I did about 4500 rows yesterday, today after seeing that error, I deleted the formula across all except one, still no luck.
-I copied the sheet into a new sheet, as others on the internet said this might help.

I believe I found my issue...I was comparing against an entire column vs ranged. =FINDSIMILARTEXT(H5,'DT Only - KRS'!I:I,$I$1, "position")....I:I vs I1:i500 for example

with your script, that is used in 2 columns, every time i get "Exceeded maximum execution time (line 0)."
It's not the same.
There are some internal limits to array sized on custom function, so if you have a very large table or super large number of empty rows you may end up hitting that limit.
