  • Time for another model Tank from Tamiya and it is a good one!
If you are not too picky about accuracy this Tiger I is a must buy and build. Typical Tamiya high quality, with perfect fit and finish. Great weekend build!
"Gloss Sand" Spray paint and Tamiya Acrylics were used.
Thank you very much for Watching

Friendly criticism: the DAK tanker uniform was a green-yellow colour.
Also thanks for explaining the roadwheels, I was confused.

The Tiger 1 was never put into service under the DAK. They served within the 5th Panzer Army but never under Rommel.

Nice work my neighbor to the North. It’s always a pleasure watching excellent artists make inanimate plastic come to life and bring realism and creativity to the fore.

It isn't an initial production tiger, it's an early production one. All the initial production tigers went to the eastern front and the 502 had the very first 2 of them tiger 100 and 111. Initial production tigers did not have the rear turret box, they either had one small upright one on either side (tiger 100) or they had none at all (tiger 111). A bit later some had retro fitted panzer 3 bins. You also didn't put any sag on the tracks.

I wonder what other modelers here think on this: on armor, I always weather and rust my exhausts before I glue them to the model. It’s just too hard to do it afterward. Can’t do the level of detail required IMHO. I don’t declare that’s the way it ought to be done but that seems to work for me. I might add that I include the exhaust covers as well. The only caveat is to ensure that one doesn’t render too much if any material on the glue pins. Otherwise you’ll find yourself over boring the model to fit the part on.

You forgot the air vent cover at front middle of the roof.
FYI, the "tubes" of the air filter system were not rubber. They were metal and they were painted.

And this model can drive if you also buy working tracks?

Not sure, it can be possible to make it drive but will require a lot of custom work I think.
