While I genuinely appreciate the product idea videos I would LOVE a "how to market successfully" video. Because it's not always about products as much as how to get people to see those products. Thank you for all the info you put out there already.

If you want to do paid marketing, there's plenty of videos on CZcams for learning how to run Facebook/TikTok/CZcams ads. They'll show you how to do it, but you need a budget to run those ads. If you want to do organic marketing (with little to no money), you need to figure out what kind of content you can/need to create to market your products. Look at other content creators that sell the same pr similar products you want to sell, take notes, implement the same strategies, fail, learn, and improve. Do more of what works and don't try to reinvent the wheel in the beginning. It's not gonna be easy. You just have to start.

Let’s keep in mind that in order for these digital products to really sell, you need to be doing your own marketing, it needs to be presented really well and have more than one of that type of product in your shop in order to bring in multiple customers.
You can make 10k with anything if you market it correctly. All these tutorials are people who know how to market, its never about the product. Its not that easy.

Yes and no. You can do well on a consumer driven market like Etsy or Creative Market without doing your own marketing (but you'll need to master the SEO of the platform) AND most stores do best (especially at first) only offering one type of product and going after one customer - the riches are in the niches.
90% of any (internet) sales is marketing..... The only thing where I have not done marketing is my Amazon shop. This works on its own. (For me, but might not for you... Depends what you sell...)
That's why I liked this video she didn't gloss over the fact that it takes hard work and that an audience helps.

I'm an attorney and I created my first digital checklist because it was mentioned by another digital product coach/consultant. It's a legal checklist for online business owners and it really wasn't something that crossed my mind until the consultant mentioned it. But I'm happy to hear you mentioning it too! And I pre-sold mine just to validate the offer because why create something no one wants!

Learning new things requires persistence and positivity, and it's crucial to find a mentor or coach to guide you along the way as you unlearn old behaviors. Starting young is also a great idea!

I watch videos all the time, so a lot of what I see is regurgitated. This video is phenomenal. Many ideas and sites I did not know existed, so thank you very much! As for the nay sayers, they will always exist. Suggestion: Focus on the ones who see the opportunity and take advantage of it. We want more great content like this and as a creator, we don't care about the nay sayers, only the doers who are making it happen🙂

There are a couple of those things I could actually do. Most however would require me to learn what they are in more detail, what it requires and how to go about doing them. I appreciate your energy and wish I understood more about what you are referencing.

When you start mentioning your digital planner you sell commercially SO THAT we can purchase it to then reinvent our own version of a digital planner, WE CAN THEN SELL OURSELVES…. my mouth dropped… “naysayers” beware you’re not going to like what I’m about to say… nothing Jessica says is the issue with your opinion on this … your mindset is the issue all together. I've tried to do digital products and pod. It's not as easy as people think. I mean creating things is pretty easy but creating things that people actually want or that are different from other sellers in pretty difficult.
Very true. I've created digital instagram templates, digital cards, etc and nothing has sold on Etsy. Theyve been up for 2ish months and most are pretty niche. I think a lot of peoples' success is in their marketing/running ads maybe.
