Great info on the different kinds of beaver casters I am still new to all this bait and lure making stuff. I have a lot of fun trying to come up with something that I can use here on my trap line. Great to see your sonâs hard work is paying off for him.
Great job on Thorpe line! I have always wondered why some casters were harder than others! Congrats to Hunter on his tournament win! Thank you for sharing my friends!
Getting excited about the new line..
@@mattmusselman5055 Appreciate the support đŸ

@@MidwesternTrapper Thank you. đŸ
I alway though that barkstone was just number one castors that were dried for a long time
@@jasonteebo1437 Not according to Johnnyâs lure book. There are differing opinions Iâm sure but weâre not deviating from his writings. đŸ
đ
can't say i have ever seen a barkstone castor . ours here are the lighter kind .
Way more money in golf than trapping đ
are you going to the ny state trappers convention
@@garybarger6311 be there early but not whole weekend.
Congrats on your son golfing! Is the bad medicine considered a gland lure? Curiosity lure? Or food lure?
Itâs a little bit of everything with the different ingredients in it. To me, itâs an âI have to check it out lureâ for most all animals. đŸ
When does the bait pile come out
@@SterlingWoodruff1 Itâs out. I need to get it listed on the web site. Iâll try and do that tomorrow. Appreciate the support. đŸ
Got it listed.... www.northamericantrapper.com/collections/baits-lures/products/bait-pile-predator-bait
Allen will you be at the district 4 trapper trainer weekend in saint Maryâs this year in September
@@dewainschink8662 No we wonât be able to make that.
Sorry if I missed the part but where does the barkstone castor come from is it a different part of beaver?
Not at all, itâs that particular beavers castor. Like I stated, I donât know why nor the cause of it but when you remove the castor, the difference is noticeably harder. đŸ
Hmm interesting I've been thinking bout trying to catch some beaver I think it would b super cool to use the hide and make a hat or something maybe some mittens idk. Thank you for your reply your a wealth of knowledge and are very easily understandable. Please keep up the good work and your son did an amazing job
