In this video I replace the thermostat in my Talbot Express 2.5 Diesel.

Nice job a bit of patience pays dividends.I would have thought 🤔 there would be gasket in with new thermostat

I had the same problem with my van, temp needle always very low. I changed the thermostat but not much difference then the fan started coming on and off intermittently. I changed the radiator fan temp sensor and the coolant temp sensor and it all works perfectly, plus the air in the cab is much warmer than it used to be.

I'm going to do this but leave the thermostat out as I will only be using the Talbot in warm weather and the whole system in under a lot less pressure rad pipes etc

You should take it out and throw it away
