Even if they nerf villagers i still hope they buff wandering traders
While I do agree wandering traders need buffs, The villager nerfs are unique and justified, so I don’t agree wholeheartedly.

The new wandering trader trades in the experimental thingie are so good! Since you can actually sell things to them you can also buy things without having to trade with villagers to get emeralds

Villagers having mending that can reasonably be accessed and renewable diamond gear is the only reason I started playing the game again (during village and pillage update specifically, upon discovering how easy is it to get mending which is essentially a required enchantment with the current system) after leaving it for a long time out of frustration over the lack of renewability of many high end items. I'm definitely not alone in that either.
in fact, if you check the feedback site the majority of players are upset over the villager nerfs.

Most players agree that the nerf is needed, specially for Mending. If Mojang gives us a practical way to guide or move villagers (the biggest pain point) the changes would be approved by the playerbase.
@@munyxxi they gotta add a party system.,. you can recruit villagers to follow you, maybe using hero of the village or an item gained from raids? And you just tell them to follow you XD. that would be awesome. Maybe a villager banner that lets you lead a party, and you can place it and they will stay near it like a temporary village. IDK

It's not required to get mending, you guys just feel pressured to get the "best gear" or something just because it's possible.
Why don’t they make the villager trade rebalance an optional setting in the world creation menu? Would solve issues for those who want it and those who don’t

on both bedrock and java it's a toggle. On Java, one of the world creation tabs has an option for experiments, and you can just turn them on in world creation (even in non-snapshot). I don't fully know how it works on bedrock, but I know it's very similar, just with a different section of the world creation screen
It can become a problem if for every update they need to take in consideration both the pre nerf version and the post nerf, you basically need to update 4 different games at that point
1.21 will always be the Trials and Tiles update in my heart

i had 20 or 30 villagers that vanished in one of the last updates, and if it happens again im done. took hours to transport and cure them., setting up their stations one by one. a two story building wall to wall with traders. all gone. if i have to set them all up again im just done. if ya wanna implement new stuff fine. but leave the old
This! I don't think they really comprehend the effort their players go through to set up a trading hall, and if they do, Microsoft doesn't seem to care about the experience

Idk about any one else but villager nerf is something I'm looking forward to. Something to give exploration value.
On the other hand between mending being a fishing treasure and fletchers/armorers, I'll still have mending on max enchanted diamond armor and tools and usually extra mending book in a barrel well before I even explore more than a few hundred blocks beyond the village let alone entering the nether.
I want a form of shaders on bedrock or a resourse pack that can be used that will give the looks of shaders even if it doesn't have all the leaves moving just the lighting would be amazing

Just cuz mojang & youtubers can play this game all day long doesn't mean we all can. The rest of us have school jobs children, lives. I seriously hope they don't mess with villagers it'll ruin a amazing update

Villagers are a different way of progressing. It takes a similar amount of resources, time, risk, and effort. Even if you do get a villager to max level, their prices will constantly fluctuate. Villagers aren't guaranteed to live forever until late game, and at that point you earned it.
If villager trades become biome dependent, it will take so much more time, effort, and risk just to get 1 set of trades that are still not guaranteed to last. It would cut off a branch of progression, which makes the game less varying, more samey, and consequencely lose a lot of players.
The treading nerf should be difficulty thing or option when making a world

I like the classic sound tracks. one of my ideas for this game is to add all the soundtracks back and have them in audio setting to turn off/on at any time therefore any player can have any of the soundtracks they like playing. Any soundtracks you have turned on will always stay turned on, and the ones you have turned off will stay that way until YOU change that. Any new soundtracks that get added will automatically be on and if you turn them off they'll stay that way; they should be a toggle in this new setting that Mojang thinks that should be the ones playing and it will turn on all the soundtracks that they think should be playing and turn off all the ones that they think shouldn't for that/this time period of MINCERAFT
Agreed, I think your idea would work really nicely. I like some of the new soundtracks (namely, the Nether Update tracks) but I feel like most of the following ones are pretty detached from the world of Minecraft and feel forced (especially the tracks that Kumi Tanioka made for Caves and Cliffs, even though otherwise she is a great musician). Hopefully they add some sort of music/soundtrack toggle soon.
personally im not a fan of the new music, i like the old pieces so much more, idk what genius decided to fire the man who originally made the music for minecraft but they should be fired😂
I'm almost feeling done with structures and new variants of biomes, I want a brand new biome (for example, evergreen biome). I want minecraft to do what they did with the cheery grove
Evergreen is literally the snowy taiga. And the cherry grove was last update.
No I disagree in reality the most plain biome imo is the desert, we need an update that adds more life to it, like palm trees, coconuts, meerkat, and natural cammal spawns, villages shouldn't spawn cammals only.
We need Walmart biome

Don't think anyone would disagree that more in-game options would just be better, would love to see more options for lighting/shaders/textures/mods without having to download them each time and wait for compatibility updates.

the soundtrack preview sounds like Aaron Cherof is coming back for 1.21, has some similar motifs as the 1.20 soundtrack and i think it uses the same piano (?) instrument as A Familiar Room.
Do you think you could make a map showing the pins of everywhere you have visited in your life? I think that would be incredibly interesting to see how that would look and I think a lot of people would also enjoy that as well.

In response to the comment that mentioned that Nintendo tend to release things on Fridays...
Friday is a very common release date for Japanese gaming companies, and it dates back to Dragon Quest 3. Dragon Quest is hugely popular in Japan, and DQ3 was very hyped up. So hyped up, that lots of people skipped work and school just to play the game. In response to that, many Japanese gaming companies decided to release games on Fridays, so that people would have the weekend to play them and not skip work.
At least mojang is providing more useful updates, but still would be great if they upgraded builds like more illager structures or functioning boats and wagons
Maybe some structures in the badlands or more villager trades, something to enhance the experience
Toycat is so personable and raw af, I love the energy sometimes as much or more than the actual content

9:30 this is random but my brother and i once built a brick house on top of a mountain near swamp biome so it gave me a weird serving of déjà vu seeing toycat build very similar house in a spookily similar location

I feel like the reason Mojang release updates on a Tuesday is because that is when Microsoft does it. More specifically they update the Windows OS on the 2nd Tuesday of every Month.

I remember the hype that 0.12.0 in pocket edition brought to the community as it was the biggest update ever. It's still my favorite update that minecraft has ever recieved

Works for me, I was thinking maybe have rare powerful items like nether stars be able to be sold to villagers for a hefty amount of emeralds. As far as new foods go I don’t think any are necessary since there’s already a ton of foods that are pretty much unused

Honestly I feel like the expiramental villager trading changes are pretty alright. Mending being the best in the game, shouldn't be easily obtainable. Considering it is a treasure enchantment, and shouldn't be easily accessible through trading. People will just continue to be lazy and not go through the effort of trying to obtain mending or any other good enchantment in the game.

11:05 Aces is currently the Best out of all, changing Tonemappers was possible before this update on Android, Windows and Jailbroken iOS, but not through resource packs, you needed to mod the game for that, so this update was big for Console Users because they can't just mod the game
Will it change existing villagers? I have a plains librarian selling mending so will that be changed after the update?

Not gonna lie, I'm not too pushed on the new update. Some of the things are cool, esp tuff bricks, but I was really hoping for more building blocks as well as new trees. It seems like this is the first big update in a while that didn't give us new trees/wood.

4:10 nintendo doesn't release on tuesdays but a lot of Xbox games/updates will go out on Tuesdays/Wednesdays. Halo, Sea of Thieves, and most of Xbox's live service games all have updates around tuesday. Don't know if its similar for Sony with games like Destiny 2

I feel you're quite wrong about AI, I think people are questioning if a lot of things are AI right now because of lot of things are becoming AI right now, if you weren't aware. It would not be too farfetched to assume that, because many CZcamsrs have already made similar pivots or started using AI in their channels in some way.

I agree with them that villager trades need rebalancing. I get why they’re doing it and they *are* going to do it. I wish the feedback was actually useful for them. Everyone just complains bc they don’t want rebalancing at all. Very few have actually used it found what didn’t work for their play style and addressed that. The biggest problem I had was transporting villagers. I would *LOVE* to build a swamp and jungle village but getting 2 villagers there is such a pain. If they fixed just that I would be fine as it is. But that’s just me.

Why can’t they just let us have our creative freedom bruh. It’s a single player sandbox game how can something be unbalanced? It’s up to the player if they want to use it or not and the people can just choose not to use these things if it’s really that much of an issue. Nerfing stuff like this literally goes against what a sandbox is.
My problem with the change is that it does nothing except set an absolute limit on how fast people can get to the end of the game. Why is that a problem? Because you can just choose not to abuse villager trades on your own if you don't want to get overpowered so quick. Why baby-proof the game for people who are perfectly content with abusing the mechanics? To me it seems like a justification for Mojang to not add new late-game content as quickly, since now that it takes 3 times as long to GET to that point, players can't complain about not having the new stuff.

I’m so sick of them adding new music discs as fan service when it’s washing out the great music discs by C418 that were getting the attention they deserved until the nether update.
Why do you care about what music discs are getting attention? C418s tracks are still in the game, and you can listen to them if you want to.

I think they should just rip the band-aid and just add it already. If they let people's hatred of it stew for longer, the backlash would be worse than it would be if they just cleared possible bugs and release it now to get people used to it earlier.
Agree. If anything the villager “nerf” is a buff because it reduces RNG for getting mending
Or just be clear that it *is* going to happen and that this is the time for the players to help them figure out how to implement it. Anything more constructive than “I hate it. Don’t do it.” Like, they’re asking for our insight and all they’re getting is complaints.
Moving villagers is a pain. Like, seriously painful. Getting them to swamps and jungles is going to be more of a pain than getting mending is worth to me. And building a village in both of those biomes sounds fun af! In bedrock, iron farms require a lot of villagers. Small issue tho, that one bc u don’t *need* a trading hall for an iron farm but since they’re already working on parity why not mention it to them. Also, on bedrock if a villager is stuck on a chunk border it may just disappear. Rare. But it does happen. Not saying they can’t drop it as is and address these issues later but giving them feedback that these issues would affect gameplay with those changes is useful for both them and us. Honestly just a slightly easier way to move villagers would probably be perfect for me. But I have no clue how’d they’d do that. I do not envy them. We are wasting our chance tho to address concerns we come across.

There are some of good parts about it like cartographer buffs, wandering trader buffs and structure-specific enchanted books
The old windows 10 lighting looks better to me than current bedrock
