    3750 acres in approx 30 days running 200 + bushel corn with 1 combine and 1 grain cart is impressive! . For the stupid questions concerning real speed, every operator sets the reel speed so it comes down over the bean plant and knocks it on the belt according to the speed there running, and that usually is set automatically . Certain bean varieties do shatter worst than others when the real hits them. George and the whole Ivers group are certainly professionals at what they do , and videos do make the real appear to run faster. It takes a lot of time to make these videos and post them so sure they can’t answer every question and shouldn’t have to. As a farmer myself just enjoy there video’s as what I have seen you all are very fortunate to even be able to view the farming operation.

    You Ivers boys are the best on CZcams as far as agtubers go. For those of us who do farm, we see the effort. We see the stands, how clean fields are. And it shows in the yields. On top of that, I think y’all are good people. And that’s what matters to us farmin folks!
    Reece! On the cover crop, you have to be patient. It’s probably a combination of fertility and you lost moisture to the cover crop. It takes a couple of years before it’s noticeable. Once that organic material gets where it’s a balanced act you’ll see the difference. Even on a dry year.

    In the Texas Panhandle cover crops result in a yield loss. But we are usually making 280 continuous corn without a cover crop. Some believe in a cover crop being better. I think the most corn with less water is important because our water table is falling several feet each year. It takes 2" to start the cover and several more to replace water, and nutrients for the corn crop.

    Poor Jay getting blasted with the throat blower by Dennis was epic (and funny)… I laughed out loud both times Reese showed it in this video! If I understood David correctly, the problem with his combine was a loose ground wire? WOW!!! As for the X9 110 -vs- Case IH 9250; not really a true comparison since they are different class combines. The X9 1100 should be able to harvest more crop, faster because of more hp and more capacity. I heard that Case IH will be coming out with a larger combine soon so then you can do another comparison test. Great video as always… 👍👍

    The X9's are good on corn and beans. Just ask Mike Mitchel up in Canada about how the X9 is in his crops. kept plugging up the back end. He had to switch to his S models to get his Lentils harvested

      But they were extremely green and tough and the chopper design is not good?

    • @automandan
      @automandan Před 10 měsíci +1

      Actually, the only time Mike's X9 started to plug is when he was doing lentils. When he was doing wheat, he didn't plug at all. And he did plug a little when they were doing canola. However, he had the same with the Fendt Ideal 9 combines as well. From what I've been told, lentils and canola are a hard crop to cut along with sunflowers. And last I checked, Mike has had issues with CaseIH, Fendt, and John Deere plugging on him. While doing lentils and canola. And I should know since I also watch his videos as well. However, the S 780 had little to no issues cutting Lentils without plugging. So, I guess Mike should use the S780 next year to cut lentils instead of the X9.😂😂

Ran overlay harness as a bypass no fix. End up putting new ECM problem fixed but that took 3 months to get one. Dave, you're right, the Deere X-9 is a machine that will do some work. All you have to do is make the numbers work which is hard to do between colors. At the end of the day it comes down to who is going to give you the best service year in and year out. It's that reason and that reason only that Fendt is making such a splash entering the US market.

    It amazes me that CIH corporate isn’t doing more to help you guys out with your combine issues since you continually buy new CIH equipment, and I’ll be shocked if they don’t jump through flaming hoops after they see that X9 being demoed.

      CIH is to busy hooking up other farmers with free equipment to plant,spray and harvest their crops!

      Corporate doesn’t care about individual farmers. Doesn’t matter what brand. Corporate also aren’t mechanics. Local dealers are the ones that care about keeping customers and I’m sure they had another combine lined up to replace theirs if they couldn’t figure it out.

    I thought this was a comparison of the two combines, nothing shows the two with loss are ground speeds, just shows the case ending problems day after day

      I wonder how the 1100 would handle an average crop of beans with an acceptable ground speed while pushing a 60 foot Honeybee or a 62 foot GTS Brazilian head.

    One thing I noticed is the X9 cab must be quieter. The audio is much better!!!
