My questions might sound weird, because I wasn't very interested in the DreamSwap's story, but: Finch is supposed to be Color, Hacker is Killer, The "dad" - Horror and the "son" is Dust?

DS!Color's full name is Finch Hendrickson, he works in Justice Divison as a solider
DS!Killer's Theodore “Hacker” Bradford
Dust doesn't really have a name, he was born in the cult. He introduced himself as "Bobcat" to Randy(Horror) and Randy decided to call him Bobby (from what I remember)
Horror is just Randy. The "dad" and he calls everyone "son" but he treats Bobby as an actual one. These two lived together for several years, and Hacker lived with them for a shorter time, several months.
I wrote bare minimum about them. Here you have links to onebizarrekai's posts about each one, so you can read more right away instead of bothering to find!

Ink didn't even meet them because they were just a random soldier.
But that doesn't mean Ink and Finch are worse than others! Their bond is just as strong, even if it's hard to see!
omg so like a few days ago i saw a vid saying that the creator of dreamtale said that ds night and dream were not brothers and this is the second time of this them shipped so is it true?

I assume you're new here, so let me explain
So, let's start - DreamSwap and DreamTale are not made by the same creator! (I'm pretty sure Joku isn't interested in other versions of her AU)
So, DS belongs to onebizarrekai! They changed a lot of things, you should see their tumblr cuz it's worth it!
I'm gonna just copy&paste their own words:
"They are not brothers by biological relation or legal adoption. They are referred to as brothers on occasion, but this is only an arbitrary title. Because those two served as the “polar opposite” guardians of the tree of feelings, townsfolk assumed that they were brothers and the two of them formed habits of calling themselves that out of irony. Nowadays Nightmare hates calling Dream his brother, but Dream still does it by accident sometimes and some people believe they are brothers because of it."

I don't really remember why they were taken away. Their fathers either tried to steal golden apples or chop down the tree (or both) and it was form of recompense/punishment. So yeah, they just lived in the same house under the eye of some kind of priest (who also, didnt really care and left as soon as they could live by their own) and someone said "They are brothers, I think" so the other villagers just went with it. In short - misunderstanding.
That's all! Sorry, it's quite long, but I wanted to explain it in the best possible way!
Besides, there are many other interesting differences! Like how Dream's powers work, replacement of Ink's paint (electric pulse applicants(?)), or that Blue doesn't work for Dream but is a yoga teacher!
