In this video, I reconditioned the planetaries of my 18-year-old car. The car is a BMW E39 525dA from 2002. We started by completely dismantling both planetary gears. The cleaning of the old Vaseline was quite difficult to do ... but I managed with diesel, disc spars and car degreaser. I can say that the blasting was quite heavy. The little paint left on these planetariums was incredibly strong. But I solved the tweaks with a wire brush. We cleaned the channels of the planetaries where they enter the bearing and the area where the ABS sensor reads their position. If that place is not fine, the ASC may no longer be activated. So it doesn't work anymore. Now it's time to paint. I used Fuler (primer) in 2 layers. Black paint of basic type also in 2 layers and varnish applied the same. For the reassembly of these planetary gears we used new parts. That is, planetary bellows, Vaseline, necklaces, fuses and everything else needed. The result is amazing in my opinion. It's like the new BMW E39 planetariums are new. The total cost of this refurbishment was 300 lei.
