    If Mauricio Pochettino gets Europe, then I don't see how this can be viewed as a bad season. He got them to a league cup final, fa cup semi final, and if he gets them in the Europa League with the squad he has, then it has to be seen as improvement. Its not his fault they overpaid for some average players

      The main issue with Chelsea is injuries not the quality of the players!

    • @SeanDay22
      @SeanDay22 Před měsícem +3

      It’s a bad season. Even if we finish 6th. We failed to beat a 10 man Burnley team. We dropped points against teams we should have beaten. We lost to a weak Liverpool team in a cup game we should have won. He often made bad choices and poor subs. Is he completely to blame? No. But it’s in no way a good season.

      @@SeanDay22 I agree that they have had some bipolar results, maybe due to the fact they are young and inexperienced. But it goes both way, didn't they tie man city twice in the season? They are a very strange team, but the fact they can go toe to toe sometimes with the big teams shows they have the capability to be good if they can sort out their inconsistencies with the lower teams. Does Chelsea have the 6th best squad in the league, and if not, then 6th place is an accomplishment. Based on how much they spent though, yeah its a substantial financial failure

      If we get Europe he has something to fight with. Let’s not say it was a good season rather a good end of season.

      But 54 injuries to first team players is crazy. What manager can thrive with that

    Stability is what Chelsea need right now. None of the potential alternatives are a clear upgrade.
    Poch must fix the defence and the midfield though. He is right to demand a say in transfers. Let's hope him and the board can come on the same page.

    It would be slightly insane to sack Poch based on the results back in September/October/November last year when Poch was trying to bed in a bunch of inexperienced kids. Far more relevant is the form over the last few months: Chelsea have been the 4th best team in the league since Christmas. All this with by far the worst injury list in the Premier League. No matter where Chelsea finish now Poch should continue.

    I am really gonna be disappointed if we let Poch go regardless of Europe or not they have developed beautifully as a young team throughout the year and it’s showing we need stability and familiarity to get back to where we need to go and the players love him.

    This guy is basically a PR rep for the Bluco Clearlake mob. Notice how he's dropping the corporate party line on how they're going to fire Pochettino. Parading as a sports journalist! He should be ashamed of himself. He sounds like he's quoting the failed Chelsea directors, obsequiously gushing about moving academy players on and replacing them in adoring tones. Doesn't question this model at all or the leadership failure of Chelsea's owners and hires. By featuring him every week, NBC Sports reveals that it's part of this systematic takeover, destruction, and remaking of English and European football in some American image.

    Pochetino should be gone…let’s stop the nonsense! It didn’t take the new Crystal Palace manager two months to get that team winning and playing good football…Pochetino wants to use age and injuries as his excuse..while everyone watched how his tactics or lack there of made Chelsea lose games. Playing players of position, late subs etc..Poch out!

    • @Shadowespeon17
      @Shadowespeon17 Před měsícem

      Palace has a more cohesive squad so it's easier for them to adapt as a group. Not all managers are the same and not all squads are the same. I don't see anybody else who can both grow the players and get them a working style of play significantly quicker, who is available at this time.

    • @KenyanRebelutionary
      @KenyanRebelutionary Před měsícem +1

      @@Shadowespeon17 De Zerbi (your Answer) you are right, not every manager are the same, Pochetino is tactically inept. 2. Crystal Palace Under Roy Hogson, we’re not cohesive, they simply relied on individual brilliance especially in their attack (sound familiar) Chelsea vs Liverpool in the cup final and the recent loss against Arsenal pretty wraps up Pochetino in a nutshell..absolutely no structure, no recognizable style of play etc

    • @KenyanRebelutionary
      @KenyanRebelutionary Před měsícem

      He played most of these players out position for a long time (colwell, Enzo etc), sticking on ineffective, limited players (Gallagher while Carney was available..watch when carney came on during Liverpool league game at Anfield and watch his linkup with Nkunku unfortunately he was brought in too late)then blaming it on injuries and age…that is why I maintain, let’s stop with the excuses…and NO! Poch hasn’t developed any player. Players develop in a playing “system”.

    • @j.a.molina6080
      @j.a.molina6080 Před měsícem

      To be fair, Palace's players and Glasners style of play are clearly a fit as-is

    • @KenyanRebelutionary
      @KenyanRebelutionary Před měsícem +1

      @@j.a.molina6080 And that’s where coaching and tactical nous is needed..why play Chilwell as a LB and Colwell as a LWB? Why use Gallagher against low block defense? Playing Enzo as a 10? I mean you should know something about your players..their strengths and incorporate that into the system you are trying to build…not playing them out of positions then mourn about lack of experience, injuries and lack of cohesion…that is your job…all of a sudden he got it figured out against West Ham who mentally are on vacation and their coach knows he is out. Let’s be serious! Poch is a disaster!
