Just saw the movie tonight. Really enjoyed myself. It's not quite as good as the original three, but loads better than Crystal Skull. I left the theater with a smile on my face. This figure looks amazing. The leather jacket and the head sculpt have me sold. This one's coming home. I'm hoping that Hot Toys will also make a "flashback Indy", for those of us who missed on the DX05. Fingers crossed.
There’s so much nostalgia about this film and so much feelgood that ANY company could release a whole range of original characters from the first three. Imagine a display with a redone Raiders Indy, Bellok, Tote, Mula Ram, 2 pack Temple of Doom with Shortround, The Jones Boys, but most of all for me Mula Ram and Pat Roach Thugie and German bald boxer. I’d buy them all!
Just got back from the movie! Liked it more than the online opinioning seems to be, but it isn't my favorite by any means. Still, fun to watch old Harrison and this figure looks amazing! Almost alive! A big tempter!!!
His hat was always made of wool so I don’t know how the small version of that would work. Years ago I had an Indy figure that was kind of almost a Barbie style. It came with a felt hat that was like attached to the head with a plastic piece but it never was able to hold the iconic shape.
Leather hat would be wrong too! Personally I just don't get the logic for big-arse logos. Besides you advertising their product. Because YOU already know what it is, or you wouldn't get the figure. And if someone else is looking and doesn't know what it is, a logo isn't going to change their opinion. I work in movies, I've done movie posters, I was a graphic designer. It's not that I have an axe to grind (that logotype is an all time classic). It's the WHY. And that it should be second to/not overpower the figure. For me anyway. So I'm glad you can change the angle. And good on you for going in clean! I saw it the other day. Have fun!
In case you didnt know his fedora was made from pressed felt. It was never made of leather and so the model figure shouldnt have one as well. When it comes to the wrist peg, why couldnt they just make the hand and wrist one piece that joined further up out of view. Perhaps one set of hands with the normal wrist peg but with the same additional piece that would attach to the arm further up as any other hands.
I mean I'm fine if they don't considering I have the original HT one, and 2.0 Present Toys Indy....but it'd _suuuure_ be nice if disney allows Hot Toys to make the figure we all want, a normal regular ol' middle aged Indy. I'd prefer a Last Crusade version, but a younger CGI faced Indy from the new movie would be fine too.

I love this figure definitely plan to get it I find it funny that some people want to say the head scope doesn't look like Harrison Ford I don't know what they're smoking they did a very good job with this can't wait
It looks exciting and I would love to get this one as well as the the previous 1/6 scale Indiana Jones toys as well as I really would look for him to ride on Thomas The Tank Engine but it doesn't fit on me to ride but but it only fits on the 1/6 scale figures.
I'm planning on seeing this saturday too! I've been waiting for this preview. (that said, who ever set this figure up didn't set the eyes right, he's looking a tad cross-eyed). It wasn't a leather hat in the movies, it was felt I believe. And since the hat is molded onto his head it couldn't be anything but vinyl. Interested gimmick with the ankle support.
Looking at the 1:6 scale felted hats on eBay? All of which look horrible? I suspect Hot Toys tried, couldn’t make it work and decided plastic or vinyl was the least offensive option. Other than the hat? I think this looks great. I’m cool with Old Man Indy.
