I still remember those days in the year 2000 when I was about 9 years old, we went on a road trip to Rajasthan in a Maruti 800, and my father and uncle brought a cassette of Shubha mam - 'Ab ke Sawan', and I those songs were played throughout the journey. Times passed and those memories faded away, then after 12 years during my second year in engineering college, I was searching for a bookstore where I found that music CD. That was like a hidden treasure to me that day, that CD is still with me. 'Hai Pyar to Musafir' is still on of my favourite songs.

All’d ‘Varsity में 1962-63 की एक शाम पर्वतीय छात्रसंघ के सांस्क्रितिक कार्यक्रम में आपका नृत्य याद आ गया अद्भुत था वह नृत्य आप तब मात्र ढाई-तीन वर्ष की रही होंगी ! तब मैं यूनिवर्सिटी का छात्र था । आपके पूज्य पिताजी से NCC camp में सुनी एक ग़ज़ल भी याद आ गई- राज दिल उनसे छुपाया न …। बहुत अच्छा मानते थे, बस यादों का दरिया बह चला है आपके संवाद के साथ साथ

महादेवी वर्मा, शिवानी आदि आदि को लगभग सारा पढ़ा। 🙏
हमारी बुआ भी महादेवी वर्मा जी से एक दो बार मिलीं थीं और उनके बारे में बताया था।
आज शुभा जी से महादेवी जी और सुमित्रानंदन पंत जी के बारे में सुनकर पुन: आनंद की दुनिया में पहुंचा दिया आपने।

Seldom am I able to sit through a digital show of whatever nature this long. Needless to say it has been so engaging that I went through the entire video in one go. Apart from the fact that always listening to you Saurabh and the grade of Hindi you bring in is absolute pleasure, there are couple of points I would want to make. Your reference to Mahadevi Varma's squirrel story "Gilloo" took me many decades back when we studied that piece as part of our Hindi prose in class X in my school in Mumbai. Thanks for that reference, it was a walk down memory lane. Regarding this chat with Shubhaji, her speaking skill is as engaging as her singing. She is witty, to the point and anecdotal making it a wonderful package on oral communication. Thank you
