Heeey Jacob can you please respond I need advise for this, so I’m practicing singing and using your videos every day but I’m curious do I need to practice my singing with open throat technique as in lowering my larynx in rest position or isn’t that really necessary whenever I use youre practice videos?

hello it's normal that I can't reach the high notes with the straw but that I do it perfectly without in the penultimate exercise where we blow in the straw and then have used a vowel and have re-breathed in the straw ?

i believe that's normal, SOVT exercises are supposed to take more "effort" than regular voiced exercises so it makes sense that you won't have the same range with a straw than you would without (until you exercise it a bit)
doesn't help that the exercise in question is a *stretch* lol

Is it ok to do vocal execise 5 hours everyday???????

would not recommend it, your voice can get very worn out and it can cause damage to your vocal chords
it's theoretically possible if you have a lot of vocal training and build up the stamina and stay very hydrated, but maybe just don't do it to be on the safe side

I would say the Max 30 min warm up if you may (usually 15-20 mins) and then rest for another 30 mins before singing (your vocals are like muscles, they need rest too before jumping into activity).
